Donnie-two-scoops is trying to hire minorities to hold signs, cheer on command, look non-white

Here's a prior ad for attendees in FL.

Here a link with some anti-Trump demonstrations planned
http://www.azcentral.com/story/news/local/phoenix/2017/08/18/z-attend-protest-rally-president-trump-phoenix/578422001/
The largest on Facebook is "Protest Trump Downtown Phoenix," a protest scheduled for 6 p.m. outside the Herberger Theatre Center across the street from the Phoenix Convention Center.
Another large gathering at the center is "White Supremacy Will Not Be Pardoned."
Tempe City Councilmember David Schapira organized "Never Again: Jews Against Hate Rally" at the Arizona State Capitol from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
"Unity March against Hate and Bigotry," for which people plan to meet at the Phoenix Convention Center and march to the Arizona state Capitol, which is about 2 miles away.
"Cosplayers Rally Against Hate," a group of people who plan to show up in costumes "to help drown out the hate groups."

DO NOT DO THIS! It will piss off Dolt45.

I mean, it would really hurt Trump's fee-fees if there were lots of empty seats at his Phoenix circle-jerk.
It would be really mean to register and no-show.

How to Tell If Your Eclipse Glasses or Handheld Solar Viewers Are Safe

https://eclipse.aas.org/eye-safety/iso-certification
What to Look For

How do you know if your eclipse glasses or handheld solar viewers are truly safe? You need to know that they meet the ISO 12312-2 (sometimes written as ISO 12312-2:2015) international safety standard. Filters that are ISO 12312-2 compliant not only reduce visible sunlight to safe and comfortable levels but also block solar UV and IR radiation.

Unfortunately, you can't check whether a filter meets the ISO standard yourself — doing so requires a specialized and expensive piece of laboratory equipment called a spectrophotometer that shines intense UV, visible, and IR light through the filter and measures how much gets through at each wavelength. Solar filter manufacturers send their products to specialized labs that are accredited to perform the tests necessary to verify compliance with the ISO 12312-2 safety specifications. Once they have the paperwork that documents their products as ISO-compliant, they can legitimately use the ISO logo on their products and packaging.

Even more unfortunately, unscrupulous vendors can grab the ISO logo off the internet and put it on their products and packaging even if their eclipse glasses or viewers haven't been properly tested. This means that just seeing the ISO logo or a label claiming ISO 12312-2 certification isn't good enough. You need to know that the product comes from a reputable manufacturer or one of their authorized dealers.

Buona Beef is now off the menu in my house.

https://www.dnainfo.com/chicago/20170818/beverly/buona-beef-union-videos-hose-boycott-berwyn

Video at the link-

BEVERLY — The Buona Beef franchise is doing damage control after a viral video showed members of the Buonavolanto family harassing union members and spraying protesters with a garden hose.

On Tuesday in suburban Berwyn, Buona Beef's Joseph J. Buonavolanto and Jim Buonavolanto confronted union picketers who were criticizing their family's business for not hiring union workers.

"F------ losers, dude," one of the Buonavolantos can be heard saying to union members in one of two viral videos captured outside the chain's west suburban restaurant.

The juxtoposition of good and evil in this pic from Charlottesville (extreme graphic warning)

Good vs. Evil
Humanity vs. Inhumanity
The raw hatred of someone striking pedestrians, who are flung in the air.
Now I look at the signs..."Black Lives Matter", "Solidarity", "Love", bumper sticker "No man stands so tall as when he stoops to help a child"
Something is very, very wrong in America.

Foxconn- Environmental and Budgetary Disaster for Wisconsin

http://urbanmilwaukee.com/2017/07/31/op-ed-foxconn-could-be-environmental-disaster/

According to reports in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Wisconsin taxpayers may have to underwrite $3 billion in giveaways to Foxconn to get it to build a plant somewhere in southeastern Wisconsin. So much, if that happens, for the fiscally prudent leadership of Gov. Scott Walker and his fellow GOP spenders in the state legislature. As the Journal Sentinel also reported, those sums are sizable multiples of the biggest public incentives ever awarded before by the state to Wisconsin businesses.

Meanwhile, Republican-managed state government has been whacking public educational support by the billions of dollars, including austerity cuts to the once top-tier, R&D powerhouse University of Wisconsin. Now we see where those savings effectively might effectively be redeployed: On a private factory floor. A really, really big factory floor, but still. In Wisconsin and across this nation, political needs trump science and economics with increasing alacrity

--snip--

A factory of Foxconn’s anticipated size could require millions of gallons of water per day. On paper, Lake Michigan could supply that. But you may ask yourself: What do electronics manufacturers do with all that water? Where does it go when they’re done with it, and in what condition?

--snip--

Environmentally there are two potential sub-issues to consider here: The first issue is what discharges would leave the plant, to what extent they would be treated, and what kinds of costs if any this might exact on public treatment systems. The other issue involves what impurities would be captured in such a plant but still ride home with the employees.

Let’s assume the state and Foxconn strike a deal and the plant indeed locates in Wisconsin near Lake Michigan and the often-mentioned cities of Racine or Kenosha, which have massive unused water system capacity. Foxconn’s used water — possibly tainted with toxic metals and other contaminants — then will need to be returned to the Great Lakes watershed.
