In his latest attack on President Lincoln Trump said on
Saturday that his television ratings were “much higher” than Abraham Lincoln’s.

“If you put my TV ratings side by side with Lincoln’s, there’s no comparison,” Trump told Fox News. “Honest Abe would want me to be honest about it, and, honestly, his ratings were terrible.”

Trump argued that Lincoln’s television ratings were especially poor “when you consider that he didn’t have to compete with Netflix and Amazon, like I have to.”

“Abraham Lincoln had zero competition and he still couldn’t get a decent number,” Trump said. “He might have been O.K. at some other things, but he was a total loser on TV.”

Theorizing about Lincoln’s poor ratings performance, Trump mused that “it might have been the beard.”

“People don’t like to look at people with beards on TV,” he said. “Tom Selleck has a mustache, but that’s different. If I was advising Lincoln, I would say, ‘Abe, lose the beard. It’s making you look like a joker.’ I wish I had been alive back then. I could have given Lincoln all kinds of good advice. It’s sad how bad he was.”

Will Trump do "anything" to get re-elected? You define "anything."

Sometimes I think so, & other times, no.

...Sending unmarked troops to arrest protesters..almost defines "anything"..
...Is there worse to come? Or maybe not?... I don't know

Michael Cohen will be released to home confinement

Source: CNN

New York (CNN) -- A federal judge ordered Michael Cohen to be released into home confinement after finding the government had sent him back to prison in retaliation for a tell-book he was writing about President Donald Trump.

During a phone hearing on Thursday, Judge Alvin Hellerstein rejected prosecutors' argument that they didn't customize a release form prohibiting Cohen from engaging with the media. Hellerstein said there was no other "inference" to take than retaliation for why Cohen was brought back into federal custody after he had been released on furlough.

"The purpose of transferring Mr. Cohen from furlough and home confinement to jail is retaliatory, and it's retaliatory because of his desire to exercise his First Amendment rights to publish a book and discuss anything about the book or anything else he wants on social media," Hellerstein ruled.

"In 21 years of being a judge and sentencing people and looking at terms and conditions of supervised release, I've never seen such a clause," Hellerstein said.

Cohen sued the Department of Justice on Monday, alleging he was taken back into custody on July 9 to block the release of his book, which is slated for a September release, two months before the presidential election.

I discovered a new scrubbing tool to get stuff off the dishes and silverware ...

...Now, I have been washing dishes on and off for about 60 years. I helped my mom years ago, and went out on my own about 50 years ago. Yes, today I have a dish washing machine, but I fill the kitchen sink with water and soap, and wash the dishes by hand.. I don't know, I guess standing at the kitchen sink is a little bit of exercise, and I need all I can get..
...So when the dishes and silverware, get dirtied with peanut butter or anything else I always used a sponge or SOS steal pad on the dirtied dish or silverware. Mind you the kitchen sink is full of water, and it is sometime running, and I use the steal pad to get rid of the real dirty stuff. I have to keep them around, and can use them a few times..but they do work to get rid of the peanut butter and stuff on the dishes.

...So, today I discovered, through my utter brilliance, a new way to get rid of the peanut butter and stuff on the knives and forks and plates. Since the sink is partially full of water, and the knife has lots of peanut butter on it,...(I like peanut butter, & it is good for you)..I discovered a different way to get rid of the peanut butter on the knife...not using an SOS pad...and it's cheap, and more available than the SOS pad...

...Are you ready?...OK...here it is......I use my thumb to scrape off the peanut butter into the sink full of water, and then rinse the plate or silverware off with clean water after I dip the silverware, ..................or plate back into the water. No SOS pad......(I can use SOS pads only in the most difficult of cases, whatever they are)

...Yes, I can use the dishwasher machine, and other methods, but this reminds me of the old days, and yes, it gets the dishes and silverware spotless. Yes, I am retired, and have very little to do these days, so this is this, and that is that...(I thought I would give a small chuckle to those out there...keep in mind...it is very small)

Donald Trump is lost in ..".a sea of selfishness."

He is too stupid and self centered to have clue about anything important. It is always about him.

3 simple acts can stop Covid-19 outbreaks, study finds: wear mask, socal distance, wash hands:CNN

https://www.cnn.com/2020/07/21/health/covid-19-three-things-will-stop-it-wellness/index.html

If people washed their hands regularly, wore masks, and kept their social distance from each other, these three simple behaviors could stop most all of the Covid-19 pandemic, even without a vaccine or additional treatments, according to a new study.

The study, published Tuesday in the journal PLoS Medicine, created a new model to look at the spread of the disease and prevention efforts that could help stop it.

The contact rates in the study were based on people's interaction in the Netherlands, but the model is appropriate for other Western countries, the researchers at the University Medical Center Utrecht said

"A large epidemic can be prevented if the efficacy of these measures exceeds 50%," they wrote.

If, however, the public is slow, but does eventually change behavior, it can reduce the number of cases, but not delay a peak in cases, according to the model.

If governments shut down early, but no one takes additional personal protective steps, this would delay but not reduce a peak in cases. A three month intervention would delay the peak by, at most, seven months, the study found.

If government-imposed physical distancing was combined with disease awareness and personal steps, the height of the peak could be reduced, even after government imposed social distancing orders were lifted.

It now thinks he is going to lose, so there is a picture of him wearing a mask.

....In late July, we see a picture of it wearing a mask. I repeat, "Trump is so stupid that he doesn't know he is stupid"

July 19, 2020

I wonder how many lives would have been saved,...if Trump started wearing a mask the same

day that he said, "It would be gone in five days"...And further, if he said this instead on that same day:

.......just these 3 sentences. ...:
"

".I have consulted with leaders around the world, and this is an extremely dangerous situation, and everyone should wear a mask every time you are in public interacting in anyway with anyone..
...Furthermore, after today, (early in Feb) you will never see me without a mask to protect the people I work with and my family from this horrendous disease. All of my staff, all of the time, from now on, will be wearing masks at work, and when out in public."

_______________________________________________________________________________________

And, he carried that through to today...everyday from Feb till now, and in the future until when this is over..

How many lives saved?...perhaps 50,000? more, or less? I say at least 60,000 lives saved if he said
.. this in early February.
