Woke mind virus breakthrough!

@RealRonaldDeSantis confirms the discovery of the first documented case of infection by the woke mind virus. Sidekick Elon was heard to mutter "We keep trying to kill the son of a bitch."

The debt ceiling scam

The (former) guy and his friends didn't pay their tab but they did leave a nice tip for the staff.

Ron DeSantis has an important announcement.

Ron DeSantis offered America another "look at me" moment on the first anniversary of the Uvalde massacre. It's one more pathetic act of bush league spite from Florida's governor.

Florida religious leaders denounce DeSantis' years long pause of Civil Rights Hall of Fame induction

Source: Tallahassee Democrat

TALLAHASSEE — Every year for nearly a decade, three names were added to the Florida Civil Rights Hall of Fame, to honor those who've made significant contributions in the fight for equality and justice for all.

It's in state law: the Commission on Human Relations shall recommend up to 10 people for selection, and the governor shall select up to three of them. Their names and portraits are put up in a corner beside the Capitol entrance.

But that hasn't happened since 2019, Gov. Ron DeSantis' first year in office. Some Florida religious leaders, joined by local government and nonprofit officials, gathered on Thursday afternoon in front of the Civil Rights Hall of Fame, which is located neared the entrance of the Capitol building, and demanded to know why.
...
Rev. Dr. R.B. Holmes Jr., pastor of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Tallahassee, said, "My beloved governor has not, since 2019, [picked] through the Human Relations Commission names to be on the Florida Civil Rights Hall of Fame.

DeSantis is not one to pass up an opportunity to blow a racist dog whistle. Here he combines racism with hypocrisy as his staff cited Covid restrictions as a reason for his inaction. It's a lowlife twofer.

DeSantis' Surgeon General has a "no work, no show" job.

The Sun Sentinel recently ran a story on Dr. Joe Ladapo's side hustle. See the story here: http://bitly.ws/ETyu

In addition to his $250,000 salary as Florida's Surgeon General, Ladapo receives $262,000 from the University of Florida. The article describes his duties and actual work for the university so far:

Ladapo’s contract at UF requires him to do research and clinical teaching, but the only documented research at UF is Institutional Review Board approval for a single study on reducing cardiovascular risk in HIV-infected adults, the university said in response to multiple public records requests.

When questioned about his job duties at UF, Ladapo told lawmakers on April 24 he has given academic talks and taught in two courses at the university – one on health policy and one on HIV. UF public records obtained by the Orlando Sentinel and South Florida Sun Sentinel indicate he gave a single guest lecture in each of those courses, which were taught by other professors.

He told lawmakers at the April 24 ethics committee meeting he has plans to teach in the future.

Source: Sun Sentinel

Florida has offered to send hundreds of law enforcement officers and national guard soldiers to Texas to help “defend the southern border,” Gov. What to wear, what to wear, what to wear...clothes make the man.

DeSantis is consulting with his wardrobe team on whether he should offer a "Top Gov" flight suit look or go "full cowboy" with a Hoss Cartwright hat and bloused pants tucked into his boots.

The governor still gets nauseous every time he sees a white shrimp boot "gogo" meme and the coveralls he wore in Iowa are still at the cleaners.

My Verbs (Biden and Trump)

There is a long list of other verbs that Trump can also rightfully claim as his own: lie, cheat, abuse, steal, betray, etc.
