MSNBC, good, bad and ugly

Now now, I do realize that for many,MSNBC is the closest to a fox antidote out there. Yes, I worship Rachel maddow.

However,if people tonight hear a lot of anger at MSNBC, that is because there are some people there who will happily help the enemy by stirring up the very same memes we work to dispel. Do not scream "under the bus" just because we snipe at the chuck todds and Mikas who use MSNBC to snipe at us.

Arlen Specter

"I come to bury the man, not to praise him."

I realize that there were moments qhen Arlen showed courage and did us a favor,like voting for healthcare. Yes he got us that magical 60 that was supposed to change a lot.

However, I need to face facts.

First off, he only came to us when he was being drummed out. We cannot emphasize enough, the GOP purge is one of the most brutal and vicious in history. Charlie Crist and others were NOT center left, but willing agents and outright sycophants of the right, who were still discarded. No, there are not the executions of the Stalinist purge, but that is only because the Kochs do not want to pay the expense (YET.)

So, does this mean we dismiss the Snowes and Specters and Crists? Sadly, we cannot, as we need all the firepower we can get. In Florida, I do NOT want to see Alex Sink or her Hubby do another half-arsed election so she can bow to Rick Scott again. If I have my choice between Crost and Rick Scott, I will vote for Crist, because I learned that Florida is so backwards they elected Marco Rubio over Kendrick meek for senator.

However, let's recognize some facts,and lay some ground rules based ON those facts.

One, the democratic party is compromised by former center-right types. From former Republicans like Arianna Huffington to Hillary to utter pigs like Rahm Emmanuel and Andrew Coumo that never deserved the title "Democrat." Yes, we are all working together to keep Mitt out, but after that, we need to draw lines in the sand, as to who we are.

Yes, converted Republican need to be deprogrammed. They do need to bear our brand, even if it means we have to get out the branding irons and make them swear blood oaths. We need to tell them something along these lines:

"If you do not carry the party line, you can hit up people like Lynn Rothschild to make some Americans United third party scheme. We will heal you, we will bring you in, and your consituents will actually thank you 20 years down the line, but repeat after me: the right wing was WRONG. "

"Do you solemnly swear that women's rights, LGBT rights, the right to a GOOD PUBLIC EDUCATION, the right to medical care, and clean air and water, are NOT TO BE COMPROMISED, no matter how good the deal the enemy offers?

OK, you are a Democrat now, happy days are here again.

OK, Suppose Romney wins the second debate.

Not that Obama is not prepped, but this Media so wants that Horse race they may spin gravity to fall up instead of down. Also, I doubt Ed and Tweety have learned from their mistakes in whipping up those undecideds.

So, If he loses, do we give up?

HELL NO!

Debates are one thing, but it is not like Mitt cannot and will not make juicy Gaffes. The man cannot help it. However, we know that the media will keep saying "it's over, it's over It's over!" because they want you to stay home.

If I wanted a debater, I could find a number of high school kids. I want a leader...

And nothign willstop me at this point fromdoing everything to make sure that we do NOT get Willard Shit Romney instead.

a tragic note about both Obama and Romney

Of course, they are different...
Of course, I am voting Obama because GOP policies are deadly, especially the ultra-toxic, money-mutated form that is unsafe at any dose.

But these two reveal a lot about America, it's graces, and it's fatal flaw.

This fellow was one of the early Mormons, indeed, almost a rival to brigham Young, even to Joe Smith himself. Keep in mind, at this point, Mormons were an outcast group, at the butt end of what cannot be called anything else but a campaign of extermination. The Mormons literally were chased to Utah, and even when they somehow made it habitable, there was a campiagn to chase them out of what was considered a wasteland. Pratt comes in because he was even more of an outcast, because he did not want to give up the idea of plural marriage. He was literally killed because of this, and in revenge, the Mormons pertpetrated their own atrocity, the Mountain meadows massacre.

The point being, Mitt comes from the blood of outcasts who were hated and killed, by an America that did NOT WANT THEM.

Obama'slife is well documented, but the ways he was an outcast are even clearer. His father abandoned him, his mother dumped him with his grandmother. Of course, being half white, and half black, he never fit in with either side. Even now, the Whites think he is African, and the Cornell Wests accuse him of being an Uncle Tom.

And yet, both of these two outcasts seem to think that being accetped is only a matter of talkiing, of showing them that really, honestly, if they were given a chance, America would accept them. They are so eager to seem reasonable, because they really, really want to prove that they are part of America, and that they have a lot to offer. It is the wooing of a lover, the trying to please the mother..

That never really wanted you, that will never really want you, and will gladly sell you down the river to feed her addictions.

Do not let the GOP cheerleaders fool you: Mitt is useful for getting those taxes lowers, or for kicking Obama out, but the second he deviates from what Grover Norquist and the Kockes want, they will call him a dirty Mormon lying bsatrd, and impeach him. Why do you think Koch wanted Ryan, because Ryan is the one they actually want, and it would be easy to say "Mitt, give it up for Paul." Let's not count out actual "accidents", though all they have to do is threaten his kids. Do you think the powers that be are abofve dragging the prophet himself in, and having him give a speech like "Mitt, your son Tagg is the one meant for the prophecy,resign."

As far as Obama, let's be honest, while some on the left loved him, they also turned on him when he was not the image that flattered their vanity. Read how Jane Hamsher, Maureen Dowd, Ted rall, Arianna H.and allthe so called "left" turn on him. Hillary may weant the presidency, but she also realizes that all that hate was probably prepped for her too, because, just like Mitt and Barack,she is another outcast thinking she can be the one that changes America, that makes it accept her.

The sad thing is, is that America will reject her too. Because there is a large gulf between the Myth of America, the one that says "Come to me, offer your talents, and you will find acceptance", and the real one where insiders sit back, and watch as the fools chasing the American dream pick their crops.

There is an oft quoted Movie, "the Good Shepherd", where a Mafiosi asks a CIA goon what do the WASPS have as a culture:

The response is "The United states of America, the rest of you are just visiting."

The sad part is, in America, even the president of the united states, whoever gets elected, is really "just visiting." The real change will only come when whoever wins the office realizes that America really does not want him or her, and then says:

"Hey,Plutocrats,the ones hiding behind the Uncle Sam poster, let's skip the bull. I know you hate me and the people that voted for me, the feelings are mutual. But you need ME, and even more than me, you need the people that voted for me, and the only thing keeping you from being tarred, feathered and lynched is our goodwill. You throw some loaves instead of crumbs, and maybe you will make it, if not, I am prepared to stoke and unleash the full fury of the masses on you, even if it kills me in the process. Your Move."

I hate to say it

But this is probably one of the best things that could happen.

The Euro may have it's virtues (as it is fresh from Nobel's perfume) BUT, that does nto change the fact that there are at least two tiers of Europe:

Tier one is: London, Paris and Berlin. Note I did NOT say the UK, France and Germany, because the elite cities have always ignored what the country bumpkins and fly over people think.

Tier two: the ones they called the PIIGS (Portugal Italy Ireland Greece and Spain)

It's not that a united Europe is a bad idea. The problem is that you need people to play by rules, and have somewhat common ideals. The truth is, Berlin nor Athens want to give a damned inch.

What is tragic is that the EU was founded, in part, to prevent Germany from ruling the continent. Merkel has done what Frederick the Great, Kaiser Wilhelm and Adolph Hitler failed to do: make Berlin the dominant force of Europe. Brussels is the mere front and lapdog. Never mind she did so by enacting the sort of Austerity measures that any self-respecting German would have rejected, telling Merkel "Frau Merkel, that is the sort of nonsense we used to make fun of the stupid Amerikaners for believing, surely you are NOT serious?"

France has some hope with Hollande, but sooner or later, he will have to run into the fact the the EU will NOT allow the heavily subsidized standard of living that France is used to. He can try to dance aorund it, and if he does, he will make the same exact mistake Barack Obama did, thinking that he could get everyone to compromise something for consensus, when the rich have NO interest in that! Of course, the French left is not nearly as Tame as we are.

And London.. they will never really melt into Europe, and the fact they have their pounds will reinforce that. Never mind that London is every bit the house of cards Wall Street is. Never mind that they have a lot of the same bigoted, conservative idiots we have here.

The truth is, there is one power that can unite Europe, but the Russians,especially under Putin, are way too smart to walk into that trap. Putin remembers how, when the USSR fell, the same Europeans that hid behind the bear were all too happy to kick it. That is why Russia is developing it's Asian side. Frankly, that is a lesson we could learn, and we would not have to disband the nation to do that. Close the bases,let Europe make it's own military if she wants one, and we can sit back and watch as London, Paris and Berlin butt their heads seeing who gets to play Caesar! By that time, the Greeks, having left the EU, will have a head start, as they, like the Icelanders, will actually have already started work on a true 21st century economic and political structure. If the other PIIGS follow suit, we might see a truly united EU, one that did not have to trade the values that made her great, for ersatz American ones.

OK,let me state some disclaimers, even though I know they will be ignored by some people:

Yes, I know Obama's debate skills were awful. Though frankly, the fact that telling the truth loses to lying is more an indictment of Americans than Obama.

Yes, I love Rachel Maddow and Melissa Harris-Perry. I even like Chris Hayes.

However, let's face facts, MSNBC is made of people who are in it for the Ego. They do not need to be paid shills, their ego is enough to make them the perfect useful idiots the GOP needs.

Tweety, your sexist comments in 2008 made divisions, making sure it became an issue of racism versus sexism, instead of "how the hell do we kick the GOP out."

Ed, you seemed to slam Obama because he did not follow your exact playbook. You want to bark orders to someone, get elected yourself.

Chris Todd, Mika, Joe Scum, everyone sees your stripes. If the revolution comes, you three should share a cell. Yes I include Mika because she enables Joe Scum.
