NOTE: My malware protection app has identified http://www.radiosantafe.com

as a potentially malicious site. It appeared as a link in one of the ops I read yesterday
and now I can't find the specific op. The message from my malware app is "site
blocked due to trojan".

Recommended: Cable TV movie "The Panama Papers", now showing on my

epix2 channel. I don't usually choose to view this type of show or have it on as
background while I'm net surfing, but even though this might be considered "old news"
it brings together all the elements of this particular worldwide scandal in a very
informative way. I'll keep this film in mind as a valuable resource in understanding the
why, where and how of human corruption.

My question is "How do we put a stop to this"?

CBC*: Pfizer submits preliminary data to Health Canada for kids' COVID-19 vaccine

* Canadian Broadcasting Corporation: This is good news.

"Pfizer and its partner BioNTech have submitted preliminary data from their trial for a COVID-19 shot for kids to Health Canada earlier than expected, the department confirmed Saturday.

snip

Authorization of a vaccine for children between the ages of five and 11 years old would be a major step. There are currently no COVID-19 vaccines authorized for children under 12 years old in Canada.

Earlier in the week, Pfizer submitted data on its study for a vaccine for children to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, with a formal request for emergency use authorization there also expected in the coming weeks.

snip

For children between the ages of five and 11 in the trial, the company used doses that are one-third the amount given to adults now."

From The BBC: The pioneering Scots photographer who captured China

"Pioneering Scottish photographer John Thomson took some of the earliest pictures of China on record.

He was born in Edinburgh in 1837 and set off for the Far East in 1862 where he spent the next decade capturing images from all walks of life.

In 1866 he became the first person to photograph the now world-famous Angkor Wat religious monument in Cambodia.

Images from his journeys form one of the most extensive records of any region taken in the 19th Century."

There are many photos and much text at the above link. This is the first time I've
heard/read about John Thomson or seen his photographs and it's good to learn new
things.

UPDATE to: "Here's my latest Cell Phone Saga!"

which is at https://www.democraticunderground.com/10181566161

UPDATE: OK, after the phones were charged up I got them both activated and they're
doing the basic send and receive right now. These new 4G units have all kinds of
capability that our old 3G units didn't have and we won't be using them for anything
but emergency calls when I'm away from home.

All's swell that ends swell, right?

October 2, 2021

Here's my latest Cell Phone Saga! This last Monday I attempted to renew the

service on our old 3G phones but our provider just sneered at me and suggested I
purchase new units. So I checked out what they had and chose a 4G flip phone that
I think we'll be comfortable with. These phones are "refurbished" since they didn't have any new units in stock but the satisfaction rating is the same so I said "what the heck" and dove in.

Of course I had to buy service plans so the two phones and plans were charged to
my debit card. I got an email notice that the deal went through then later another email on Tuesday, September 28, that the units had shipped. I had them sent to my Post Office Box since that's most convenient for me.

Then I read about DeJoy screwing us over with his (further) mail slowdown. I got
concerned about how we're always getting DeJoyed up but decided to see how things turned out. I paid a premium cost for shipping to my PO number and was given a window of 4 to 5 days for receipt of the goods. "Great", I thought, "maybe I'll see them in my lifetime".

Since I had received a USPS Tracking Number in one of my emails I began trying to
track the shipment. but the USPS just sneered at me. (There's a lotta sneering going on.) So today, Saturday. October 2, 2021 I decided to go to my PO just to check it
out. (Y'see, Friday of each week is when I regularly go to the PO.) And I wasn't
disappointed for there in my PO box was a key to a mail locker and in the locker was
a box and in the box were the two phones I had ordered! "YAY!" I silently exclaimed.

I found that there was some assembly required so I assembled. Then I read that
each phone must charge at least 5 hours before proceeding. So now I'm charging and without much to do until at least 7 pm (U.S. Mountain DST) except relate all this
to you.

I'll keep you posted on how things turn out.

Of course this information only applies to the northern hemisphere of our earth. I've
already performed my monthly ritual of The Changing Of The Calendar Page that I
display on my cork board. I always like to know where I am in space and time!
