Baby sea turtles are helped to the sea so they won't go towards airport lights(pic):

The hatching of more than 100 loggerhead sea turtles July 1 on the Caribbean island of Bonaire prompted volunteers to take action, according to Sea Turtle Conservation Bonaire. The baby turtles ambled to the sea with the help of a people-lined path, a viral photo on Imgur shows.

"Cutest. Stampede. Ever," wrote one commenter. Perhaps that's why the image had collected nearly three-quarters of a million views on the photo-sharing site by Wednesday afternoon.

Zahnerphoto, who posted the picture, explained on Reddit that the "nesting site was close to the airport and lighting was a concern."

According to National Geographic, loggerhead turtles have been on the "threatened species list" since 1978, due in part to pollution and development in their nesting areas.

Can people just stop issuing public warnings?
Even if somebody would be better off following the advice, they will balk at appearing to act as if this guides them. A leader cannot appear to be under the thumb of somebody else.

In addition, what the hell does 'handled badly' mean? That's a vague demand.
The US government has also said it is reviewing the huge aid package that they send Egypt.

Is diplomacy dead? The US appears to be conducting business through the media. If they don't have any contacts in Egypt that can reach out to help them deliver messages, then what the hell have they been doing in the previous years?

This shite just makes us look like blustering fools. This tactic should be used as a last resort. Did they not learn from the 'red line' proclamation to Syria about using chemical weapons? NEVER issue a promise of action unless you intend to carry it out because you box yourself in. Know what you are going to do and how it will be carried out.

This type of action should be used as a last resort. Now the JCS chairman has put himself out there and dragged everybody with him. Good luck with that.

Nobody I knew was ever injured. That is a miracle considering how many of my relatives used them.

Every Xmas, our parents bought us a boatload of them. This at a time when manufacturers made them as powerful as they could. We got M-80s, cherry bombs, roman candles, huge firecrackers, and more. Nobody ever monitored us.

We probably broke every safety rule in the books.
