Vanessa Guillen was a 20-year old Army soldier at Fort Hood who went missing in April. Her allegations of sexual harassment had been ignored. After months of pleading for information from the investigators, the Guillen family went public. This resulted in protests and pleas for justice. You may have seen this case in the news, but with so many news stories erupting simultaneously, it's understandable that many people may have missed it.
Yesterday, after a false alarm last weekend, remains believed to be those of Vanessa Guillen discovered in a shallow grave:

This 23-year-old Texas woman took precautions and still got the coronavirus

After Texas' stay-at home order ended April 30 and some businesses opened, she cautiously ventured out. Even though early data showed Covid-19 was most dangerous for older people, she was careful, told CNN's Erica Hill on Wednesday.
"I wasn't going to crowded restaurants. I wasn't going to crowded places in general (or) social settings," she recalled.
She resumed grocery trips and even went back to a gym. And right around then, to her frustration, she came down with Covid-19. She still doesn't know where she picked it up.
"That was one of the first things that I said, was, 'How could I have possibly gotten this?'" Chesser said. "I was so anxious about getting it since this all started in March, February."

Really unfortunate if true
One of the things I most loved about USC was the diverse student population and for the most part everybody getting along. At one point I had three roomates: one from Venezuela, one from the Philippines, a Chinese-American and when Konrad (the one from the Philippines) moved out a Japanese-American moved in. My freshman year, one of my best friends was an Iranian student.
I've tried to track down my Venezuelan roommate with no luck. He was absolutely one of the nicest people I've ever met, and with things going bad there I've often wondered about him. He was studying Veterinary medicine but left abruptly without explanation in his junior year.
It depended on the school you were attending. The business majors didn't have a very good reputation, some of them cheated and drank their way through USC. I had business major roommates at points and they were Frat Bros i didn't think much of. But if you went there to learn, you got out of it what you put into it.
My time at SC was four of the best years of my life.
I'm a little nervous about the unforeseen consequences but I do believe
if Trump drops out a huge segment of Republican voters will be so demoralized that they won't "rally" around anyone and many will throw in the towel. Trump, for better or worse, is more than just a politician or president to his base. He's like a God. 
Nobody can replace him except maybe a Fox news celebrity or, I don't even know who.
And if they stick with Pence, or maybe a Pence/Nikki Haley ticket, they'll be routed too. Nobody is going to get excited about Pence except certain Evangelicals. I don't even think he could bring out the racists. The apathy will be ubiquitous. Voting won't be worth the risk of contracting the virus if those are their candidates.
The stench is so thick, I don't even see Romney wanting to have anything to do with running, not this go-round. If Trump goes down, he's going to take a lot of republicans down with him because they've associated themselves with him to the degree it is indistinguishable from a cult.

Malignant narcissists do give up sometimes if they know they're going
to lose or face punishment. They commit suicide too, sometimes. They do things like this out of inability to face failure or consequences for their actions, or sometimes out of anger to rob their victims of getting justice.

for being the dumbest member of Congress.
That sword cuts both ways
By that same logic, the last thing the GOP court would want to do is further demoralize Republican voters or hand Trump yet another profound and humiliating loss.
Yet they did exactly that.
This sort of reminds me of when Congress demanded to be briefed on the Qassem Soleimani
assassination. Under the gun the administration relented and briefed a number of senators but the briefing went disastrously and Mike Lee came out of that briefing and exploded:
