jml510's JournalPointing out the co-relation of freedom and voting rights
I was thinking about the issue of voting rights, and started wondering...with Republicans and RW libertarians always talking about freedom and liberty, why isn't the Left nailing them down on their hypocrisy on this issue? The Right is always talking about those things when it comes to things such as guns, paying less taxes, and so-called "religious freedom", but they obviously don't apply on other issues. And whenever I hear Democrats discuss the voting issue, they mainly just talk about the equality and fairness aspects of it, but I believe that there is also an argument to be made in terms of freedom. By gutting the Voting Rights Act and passing numerous ID laws, conservatives are making it more difficult for Americans to exercise our Constitutional rights and basic freedoms.
What do you think?
SuddenLink or AT&T?
Late next month, I will be moving to Arcata, CA., and I heard that these are the two cable/Internet providers in the area. I looked up reviews for both online, and many say that the customer service of both companies is bad, and that AT&T's connection frequently acts up.
Out of these, which one would you recommend?

Fox News - We basically dont watch Fox News anyway, but its seriously about time we hit them with a boycott to make it official.
Disney World - Heres why: Disney World controls Florida. If we boycott Disney World they could press Florida to repeal Stand Your Ground.
The NRA - They pushed the Stand Your Ground law, so its time to show them were serious. Cancel memberships and cost them money.
Abercrombie And Fitch - They dont want Black people working the front of the store. Its time to boycott their racism.
Cristal - They said they didnt want Black people buying their stuff. Well, dont worry were good.
Madea - SOME people think we should boycott Madea movies because they set us back. What say you?
Bleaching Covers - All these magazines that bleach the Black womens skin on the covers should abandon these practices.
College Sports - They exploit young athletes mostly Black and punish them if they get any perks. They should get boycotted until these athletes are allowed to get paid.

Why does the MSNBC show "The Cycle" get a bad rap?
I see DUers saying essentially that it is a sub-par show, but I sometimes watch it and don't have a problem with it. Krystal Ball seems pretty knowledgeable, and I like Toure. I also understand that many DUers aren't too crazy about S.E. Cupp, but I find her tolerable compared to the rest of her RW brethren. While I rarely agree with her on anything except for her supporting gay rights, I will say that at least she doesn't interrupt people who she disagrees with for the most part, like Hannity and O'Reilly. Plus she is the only conservative co-host of the show, which means that she is outnumbered and is generally refuted on whatever falsities she may give.
