The local news went to

the airport to get the average joes take on whether the Fed mask mandate should be eliminated. Given their science based responses, I also wanted these folks expertise on why there’s not a unified Theory of Physics.

Sometimes you read articles that ask what would an older you tell a younger you.

I read things like: don't drop out of school, be true to your values, and be adventurous.

Mine is lift with legs, not with your back.

"Anthem"

An epic story of post-COVID America. Reads like a Stephen King novel, somewhat, and scarily describes America today.

Truly unique.

"Flying Blind

The 737 Max Tragedy and the Fall of Boeing."

Peter Robison.

Unbelievable tale of how Boeing knew what was wrong the aircraft and hid it.

I don't often open my sun roof on the car, but when I do...

as some MAGA Nazis (waving flags) have taken up station on a block near me I have taken to driving by with a prominent bird on display every time I pass them. I have considered giving them a double barrel bird, but I can't steer with my knees. Yet.

They probably know my vehicle by now.

Good.

Don't like them.

Those giant industrial rolls of TP in stores dispense sheets in such a parsimonious fashion not even Indiana Jones could could conjure a multiple ply grab.

Warren Spahn

He pitched a total of 5,243 innings and hit a total of 42 batters.

Gary Maddux pitched 5,003 innings and hit 137 batters.

Spahn's command remains unmatched.

Observation from my time in the Army in Europe

My time dates back 30-40 years ago. At that time the U.S. Army had Six Divisions there and 2 Cav Regiments. Plus 2 Corps Artillery Units and numerous aviation battalions. The total number was around 400,000 troops.

In addition we an exercise called REFORGER that stood for Return of Forces to Germany. Those units flew over from the U.S. and married up with pre-positioned equipment located in Germany. Happened practically every Fall. I don't know the status of that pre-positioned equipment today.

I'm not totally up on our force alignment in Germany, and Europe today, but I think Chump drew us down below 100,000 troops today in Germany. Or attempted to.

This is just an observation that our status of forces in Europe is far weaker today than it was before the wall came down. I'm sure this must weigh on President Biden's mind.

Just some strategery to consider.
