It's not just blacks they hate either. Maybe blacks most of all, but basically anyone who stands against them.
The 'best' of the 'good' slave owners still engaged in various evil practices,
in addition to the overall matter of enslavement of another. Where do people think all the mulattoes came from? As I imagine you already know, slaves sold as pregnant brought higher prices, so some of the slave traders kept them until they could guarantee that. Not to mention horny plantation owners and their sons and friends. That's one reason it's often said the white wives were the worst to cross, because they also knew why some slave babies were born lighter skinned. That's one reason they often sold the kids off at the earliest possible time, to remove that reminder from their presence.
How some people still romanticize the Old South and want to turn the country back to those days strikes me as sociopathic. But then I never liked conservatives much to begin with. Hundreds of thousands of the Irish were also sold into slavery, mostly in the Indies but also in America. There are many documents showing that southern planters also wanted to start a war with Mexico and expand slavery to include anyone of any group they could capture. So many of the Tea Baggers today espouse out-and-out slavery too - except for themselves, of course!
The old outhouses had to be dug out periodically. People also sprinkled wood ash to
keep down the smell and flies.
As to how much potable water the super tech toilets would produce, I have no idea except it would be related to input. I've also bookmarked an article about a new water bottle that draws moisture from the air; haven't had time to read it yet, but when I do I'll send you a link. I'm sure they'll have to step up desalinization of sea water too. I just hope we don't have to revive the Saturday night bath tradition.
Especially for prefab, they certainly do seem less expensive than the others, while
offering a bit more space. Glad you like the way they look. You can always build your own Tiny from scratch, but single little old ladies don't have that option. If anything ever happens and I need to re-shelter quickly, so far I prefer the arched cabins. We have many excellent Amish workers in the area to do the installation for a reasonable price.
For the amount of insurance I do have, I could easily get a 12x24 super-insulated, with all mechanical systems done, and nicely furnished (to my tastes anyway) yet still have a bit left over. You know how some people claim they can never find anything at rummage and yard sales etc.? I usually have to stay away to keep from coming home with another houseful of good stuff. I can't even walk/ride down the street on trash day w/o spotting goodies. Where do you think I picked up 4 perfectly good vacuum cleaners? Two for upstairs, two downstairs. All they needed was a little cleaning and oiling, maybe a new belt at most. 'Stuff' has always damn near followed me home.
Almost forgot about the arched cabins.
Probably one thing that charms this old Army brat/Army wife (former) is their close resemblance to Quonset huts. I suppose you could use the arched cabins - a much better PR term, don't you think? - for whatever purpose you wanted. But even with the 2-window end caps and extra insulation, they're very cost competive. And I just plain like them. Put in window boxes and built-in planters on the plain sides, and you could wind up with something quite beautiful for pennies on the dollar.
They're not like old-fashioned outhouses at all.
You might also want to check a book called 'Humanure Handbook' or some such. That's what it's about anyway.
After one year it's safe to use on ornamentals. IF I recall correctly, after 2 years it's safe to fertilize food plants. The best compost toilets have a built-in separator for liquid and solid waste so they never mix. When it comes to that, fresh human urine from a healthy person is pretty sanitary on exit - it can be caught in a container and well diluted with water to make an excellent fertilizer you can use immediately.
One thing you'd want to consider is burning the paper, though. Saves on work.
I understand the gross-out factor for those who've never experienced the system. But once you get over modern western social taboos and look at it scientifically, you might even prefer it. After all, today's West and Southwest are going to become basically unihabitable shortly. Municipalities will have to figure out how to process urine into safe drinking water. I've never seen them here, can't find them online, but I know in Israel and probably more of the Mideast they have high tech toilets that already process urine into drinking water cleaner than you'll find in most cities worldwide including America.
Funny thing. When I bought a place in one of the oldest settlements in the Louisiana Purchase, I knew the main house was almost 100 years old which it is now. But I also knew exactly where the outhouse had been not only from studying customs of the era but also because that's where the tall lavender grows. People used to plant that to help check odors in the outhouse. They would've been better off with a good composting toilet!

I'd wager 90% of the people in this tiny town don't recognize her by name or face. I wore that shirt all everywhere last Tuesday, and 2 women asked me to tell them who she is.
Sometimes I wonder if I stray into melodrama, but at least it comes naturally. Not fake at all.
We had statewide elections this Tuesday. They have 2 different rooms entirely for Dems and Those Other People. But each room had 3 separate ballots because of open primary. When they pointed out each choice and got to ours, I placed my fingers to my lips before touching the ballot I wanted.
Oh, and I wore my new Justice Ruth Bader-Ginsburg tee shirt that declares her 'The Notorious RBG'. I liked it better than the one sold with the same picture but the words 'Fear the Frill'.

Language is a far more potent weapon than many realize. Learn to use it well.
Please tell me specifically, are you a Stalinist as well? I didn't have time to read everything you wrote on your main page. I'd be entertained to know, since he was a worse mass murderer than Hitler and not exactly a person to hitch your star to in this day and age. I hold that charge against him, and even were it not so, I'd hate him to my very core for having Trotsky killed. He wasn't fit to tie Leon's shoes.
While I'm not communist myself, rather a most ardent socialist, I've followed the development of various world political systems with great interest. Regardless of where we differ, for some reason Trotsky found more favor with me than the others. I'm sure his absolute and undeserved betrayal and assassination has something to do with it.
While you wonder about my depth of knowledge, don't forget that every political system morphs to some degree over time as more people learn what works and what doesn't. Trying to hold out for one's own understanding (which may conflict with another's) of a traditional/pure version is playing a fool's game and plays right into the hands of the opposition. Youth in general tends to mistake what I just said there as a sellout. But it isn't. I see it as survival of the fittest. We have a fine ultra-left group here; I just don't know how far you're going to get fishing for converts on DU, to be quite frank.

Not to pass over the larger story, but I do want to say this about Harvey Milk. When Focus on the Family started telling people not only to refuse to buy the new postage stamps honoring him but also to reject any mail that came to them with that stamp, I rushed to the post office to buy an entire book of them. Which I couldn't afford, but couldn't bear to do without either. He was a precious man.
