bare. l also agree tRump is no genius, and that something else is going on. That something else likely is that his handler Putin is the real grand master manipulator and the one with the fiddle. That is the tune the GOP traitors and Fox News dance to. What is going on is way past the point of mere conjecture. We are in real peril now. Tomorrow may be too late.
On this 4th of July it is vital to be reminded that we have a Russian
agent in the Whitehouse. Putin is his handler. And because it is all so very pubic, not enough people are willing to believe it. tRump literally does what he is told by his handler. Plain and simple - we are faced with a demagogue / traitor in the most powerful position in our country. That is the reality.
Rachel just said it very well - "your country needs you too".
Think l understand the fear and hopelessness that makes someone think about life in another country. However, what we have here is worth fighting to retain and improve. Personally l absolutely refuse to vote with my feet, I refuse to be silent, I refuse to knuckle under the fascist propaganda, and I refuse to be ruled by a shallow empty demagogue and his bunch of enablers. The immediate goal is to get the political power to see them all branded as criminals. That is a fight worth having.
Seems to me it is akin to the the outright selling of human cargo that
occurred centuries ago - just more sophisticated. This vile administration once again reminds us of the ugliest parts of mankind’s history.
Try walking in one of those mother's shoes, however difficult it
may be, and your priorities may change. Then check what history has to say about the rise and fall of Nazi Germany.
I have reached the point where it is impossible to look or listen
to any of the absurdity, vileness and absolute ignorance spewing from tRump’s foul mouth. He does not exist beyond what news, and other information l choose to read. That is how l will retain a sense of reality while working for a better tomorrow. And yes, it really is a flim - flam.
The callous disregard for humanity is frightening. If innocent children
are merely the starting point, from what dark level of depravity are we as a nation going to emerge? Proud to have Jeff Merkley as my Senator. Look for him to follow up on this.
Seems appropriate to remember that the hater in the Whitehouse
who tries to claim it is somehow unpatriotic to kneel is himself an established traitor who conspired with a foreign dictator for money to steal an election. He is therefore illegitimate, and not qualified to pass any sort of judgment.
Just a humble opinion here, but l think we ignore his obvious duplicity
at our own risk. He tries, and often succeeds, to frantically turn everything negative and disgusting about himself to his own political ends by continually blurring the line between fact an fiction, while feeding talking points to his base. Just as pretty much everything he accuses others of, he himself is doubly guilty if the facts are revealed. It is all part of the strategy of him morphing into a autocratic ruler with an iron fist around the rule of law.
It is becoming increasingly scary for all PoCs. Also more difficult
to convince oneself that this is not politically and morally normal. Helps to remember we are better than the Putin puppet who kept, according to what his first wife told her divorce attorney, a copy of Mein Kampf in his bedside cabinet.
