It seems in meetings with Russian officials he prefers Russian translators and Russian photographers. Does he not support American translators or American photographers???
I just have to say this
We are bombarded with messages to call our senator to tell him to vote no on this healthcare bill. Well, my senator is Lamar Alexander and he helped write the damn thing and thinks it is wonderful. I am not going to stress my blood pressure contacting him.
So this is what we are doing and please understand that I am not bragging, we needed to do something to help someone. We had a power chair in our basement, a Jazzy chair. It was my father-in-law's. We have cleaned it up, got new batteries (2 of them about $200 a piece. We are donating it to a church that has a program for providing medical equipment to the community. Got it out of the basement and one of the wheels is cracked. We are looking to replace it at about $150.
I cannot give Lamar Alexander a heart or a conscience. I live in his hometown. Helped take care of his mother when she was old. He knows these things. We can do this, we can contribute to someone who needs something we have.
Again, not looking for credit, just feels better to do something you can, than grouch to someone whose mind is closed.
I am no expert
I listened to people on shows this weekend talk about the back channel talks in other administrations. I am not surprised those existed.
It seems to me however, that no one is asking the one thing that concerns me.
MOTIVATION: What is the motivation of the Trump administration to set up secret communications with Russia.??????? Is it for the good of the country (because nothing else they have done is) or for PERSONAL AND FINANCIAL protection.?????
Maybe I am naive and ignorant but I am suspicious of everything they do.
My Senator Lamar Alexander is on the committee to look at the House healthcare bill.
I sent him an email (I cannot speak calmly to him or his office). We have had previous exchanges on other subjects. I was extremely polite but I made a few points for him to consider. My first was that there are no women on this committee, I stated that I had never thought of him as a misogynist but if he did not immediately speak up about it, well....he would make him look guilty.
I shared my years of experience working as an RN at the hospital in his home town. I shared my gratitude for the health insurance I had for my breast cancer treatment.
It seems to me that so many other countries have payment for healthcare figured out and it makes no sense that we cannot.
I also shared that if we really believed in "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness". we should also believe that none of those are possible without believing that access to healthcare we can afford is a RIGHT.
I do not expect him to agree with me, but I had my say.
I did not threaten to work against him if he chose to run again, that is the best I could do.
I need your help writing this.
I am going to put it on Facebook, and I want it to be pretty good before I do.
If someone you love, maybe a parent, is a public figure and makes really ignorant statements, wouldn't you want to protect them from further embarrassment? I would think if you loved them, you would want to protect them from more public humiliation? Is it not a loving act to help someone who clearly has mental and emotional issues?
Can someone help me shorten it? I considered starting Dear Ivanka, but probably not. I think he might listen to her, is there anyone else? I really do not care about his embarrassment and humiliation, I am just looking for a way to stop him.
Trump knows more about the hacking
than we do. Is that because he was in on it???
I wanted to post this as a comment on Facebook but do not relish my phone being tapped (old school), my computer being hacked (he apparently knows a lot about it) or visitors in dark suits, sunglasses and earpieces.
The history we do not know
I have always been impressed with stories like this. The good that a person can do without expecting fame is fortune is so very important. The story of a good decent person, this is so rare in the media and in history books.
