Did Rittenhouse's face actually get wet when he cried? Because I didn't see any tears.
Anyone else notice that?

Disturbing: 2 arrested in Eugene cookie shop assault over masks
A duo with a history of harassing business owners, Ricki Collin, 34, and Amy Hall, 45, walked into a Eugene, Oregon bakery with the sole purpose of picking a fight over masks. They aggressively argue with the shop owner, who insists they need to cover up, as per local law, before entering. As tempers flare, shop owner eventually grabs a bat and tells them to back off which they don't. But they do grab the bat from the owner.
The angry gentleman is recording the altercation for his YouTube channel while Hall begins to physically attack the shop owner.
The couple, flagged down police and showed them their video, thinking they were in the right. But he and his partner are arrested for "third-degree assault," and the man got an extra charge of "third-degree robbery for reportedly walking away with the bat," according to KEZI.com.

Also, the store owner... did she have a right to take a serious swing at them? It's hard not to wish she had.
The far right's secret weapon
this article relates to a NY Times story about a "Hilary/Biden voter" that was voting for Youngkin that turned out to by a right wing activist. The reporter has yet to issue a correction...

The far right's secret weapon
Have some extreme reactionism you need to sell? Call the politics desk of the New York Times.
Liberals woke up to some bad news yesterday: The governors race in Virginia, a state Biden won by double digits, went to a previously unknown Republican. More worryingly, Glenn Youngkin seems to have won on the strength of his opposition to educating Virginias schoolchildren about Americas ongoing history of racisma hot topic in a state still grappling with its legacy as the old Confederate capital and the white-supremacist riot that rocked Charlottesville four years ago.
:snip:
The New York Times explained it like this:
:snip:
Few institutions did more than the Times to help Youngkina multi-millionaire former CEO of the immensely powerful defense-aerospace-and-everything-else private equity giant known as the Carlyle Group, who trafficked in antisemitic calumny on the campaign trailsell himself as the aforementioned suburban dad. The Times coverage down the stretch often seemed calibrated to launder Republican appeals to white Virginians racial insecurities in ways that would be palatable to voters in the ostensibly liberal strongholds of the commonwealth like Northern Virginia, Richmond, and Hampton Roads.
And one Times reporter in particular did yeomans work on that front.

Crowd hurls vile chants at female goalie as high school hockey game turns ugly
The corrosive nature of hockey culture has been exposed throughout the past year, and its no different at the high school level, unfortunately.
During a Thursday game between Pittsburgh-area Armstrong High School and Mars Hockey Club, a number of Armstrong students participated in sexually explicit chants directed at a female goaltender on the Mars team, leaving the unnamed goaltender in tears.
As a subsequent result of the chants, all Armstrong students have been banned from attending hockey games, while the students who allegedly participated in the chants may face further disciplinary action.
In my mind, this shouldve been stopped immediately by anyone that was there who has any moral value at all. Im disgusted by it.
There were a lot of people there who couldve handled this differently, Armstrong principal Kirk Lorigan said via Mike White of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Mars head coach Steve Meyers said the player that was targeted is the only goaltender on the roster, while noting that she has been the starter for all of the teams five games this season.
We have no one else. She plays varsity and JV for us. Weve had plenty of girls in this league before and never heard anything like this. With all the training were required to do as coaches about safe sports and sportsmanship, this should not happen. For it to fail this badly, its really disappointing.
Below is a video of the vulgar chant directed from the Armstrong students, and we dont necessarily advise watching it.
