Pence staffers weary of being on poopy diaper duty for Baby Donnie

Republicans say it's only natural that some of the president's aides are reconsidering who they can trust as the White House continues to reel from an undisciplined president and multiple inquiries into whether Trump associates joined Russia in meddling in the presidential election.

"The administration doesn't know who to trust," Republican strategist Michael Steel said. "When you're under attack the circle tightens."

At the same time, Republicans say, some of the vice president's aides say they are frustrated over Trump's many self-inflicted wounds, some of which the conventional and even-keeled Pence is forced to try to explain away as he looks to smooth over hurt feelings with members of even his own party.

"Trump does something and Mike Pence has to do cleanup," Republican strategist Doug Heye said. "That can be very frustrating for staff."

"Well, invite Sean Hannity. Were not going to be schmoozed because you gave us some fish."

Buried deep within a New York Times look at the deteriorating relationship between President Donald Trump and MSNBC host Joe Scarborough, the Morning Joe host revealed that an angry Trump once threatened to pull an invite for lunch because Scarborough was too tough on White House adviser Stephen Miller.

According to Scarborough, his relationship with the Trump took a turn for the worse shortly after the inauguration and hit a particularly rough patch after Miller’s disastrous star turn on Sunday morning cable shows.

Described as a screaming over the telephone by the MSNBC host, Scarborough claimed Trump demanded he and co-host Mike Brezinski ease up on criticizing Miller.

“It went back and forth for 20 or 30 minutes and it was a very ugly call,” Mr. Scarborough explained. “He was screaming at me saying, ‘Why are you being so tough on this kid — I invited you to lunch at the White House, and you know I could have invited Sean Hannity,’ and I said, ‘Well, invite Sean Hannity — we’re not going to be schmoozed because you gave us some fish.’”

Trump-supporting minister "tried to live a good life," now faces deportation

But according to the San Diego Union Tribune, Ramirez is awaiting deportation all the same. He’s been in a detention facility since May, when Border Patrol staked his house out and detained him.

“Trump said, ‘Let’s keep all the good people here and all the bad people out,’” Ramirez, who both doesn’t have a criminal record and has not previously been given a deportation order, told the Union Tribune.

“That’s great, but I’m here,” Ramirez said. “If I’m here, anybody can be here. I’m not saying I’m the best person in the world, but I’ve tried to live a good life.”

Despite Trump issuing the executive order that led to his ordered deportation, Ramirez, who came to the United States at age 11, said he still supports the president and considers himself a Republican.

Oh, Tweety. You're not helping with this.

Chris Matthews On Trump’s Family: At Least Mussolini Executed His Son-In-Law

MSNBC host Chris Matthews took a comparison too far on Thursday during a segment comparing President Donald Trump to a long line of power-hungry politicians, including Italian strongman Benito Mussolini.

Speaking of nepotism and the at-times baffling amount of power that Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner seems to wield, Matthews remarked, “So the son-in-law — you know, one good thing Mussolini did was execute his son-in-law.”

“I mean, I’m talking about Ciano,” he added, referring to Galeazzo Ciano, whom Mussolini had executed in 1944 after a sham trial found him guilty of treason.

Matthews sought support for the comparison from New York Times columnist Frank Bruni, who appeared on the segment as a guest, but Bruni wasn’t buying.

“I don’t think ... Let’s be careful there,” Bruni said, raising his hand sharply.

Republican Senate caucus sends Turtle-Gram to Mitch to save them from angry voters

A group of ten Republicans senators were the latest to join the chorus asking GOP leadership to save them from angry voters by cancelling the August recess.

In a Friday letter to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, the group wrote, “we respectfully request that you consider truncating, if not completely foregoing, the scheduled August state work period,” the Washington Post reports.

Nearly a fifth of the Republican Senate caucus signed the letter, including Steve Daines (R-MT), Joni Ernst (R-IA), John Neely Kennedy (R-LA), James Lankford (R-OK) Mike Lee (R-UT), David Perdue, (R-GA), Mike Rounds (R-SD), Luther Strange (R-AL), Dan Sullivan (R-AK) and Thom Tillis (R-NC).

“Republicans are steeling themselves for attacks on their health-care negotiations over the July Fourth recess, with progressive activists planning to pressure any members of Congress they see at public events,” the Washington Post explained.

WOW! Henry Kissinger is ALL IN for the Putin-Trump meeting, thinks it's just swell and neat-o.

Kissinger calls Putin-Trump meeting a chance to mend ties

http://www.rawstory.com/2017/06/kissinger-calls-putin-trump-meeting-a-chance-to-mend-ties/

Speaking at an international affairs conference in Moscow, Kissinger said of the planned Trump-Putin meeting: “I believe that at this moment our two countries have a responsibility, and an opportunity, to make significant progress not just by improving relations, but by improving situations around the world through cooperative efforts.”

“Tensions between Russia and the United States … have happened often before and they have been overcome often before,” Kissinger, 94, said. He did not take questions from reporters at the event.

Asked if Kissinger was providing a back-channel between the Kremlin and the White House, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said: “He didn’t try. That did not happen.”

He said the Kissinger-Putin meeting was strictly private and declined to disclose what the two men talked about.

Morning Joe Cliffs Notes: "The President shouldn't do that shit." OK, back to work.

"If Republican Senators are unable to pass what they are working on now, they should immediately REPEAL, and then REPLACE at a later date!"
