FBI Finds Trench Of Human Feces At Cultural Site On Oregon Refuge

"Occupiers appear to have excavated two large trenches and an improvised road on or adjacent to grounds containing sensitive artifacts."

Feb 16 (Reuters) - The FBI said it has found a trench of human feces and a road excavated on or next to a sensitive cultural site with artifacts at the Oregon wildlife refuge where armed men staged a standoff with authorities, according to court records filed on Tuesday.

The filing came after the FBI on Friday said it was working with the Burns Paiute Tribe to identify damage to the tribe's artifacts and sacred burial grounds at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge during the six-week occupation.

Evidence teams began processing the crime scenes at the refuge on Saturday, two days after the final occupiers surrendered, and the process will last about three weeks, according to the document submitted in Oregon federal court on Tuesday.

U.S. Attorney Billy Williams of Oregon wrote in the filing that investigators found "significant amounts of human feces" in a trench at an outdoor camping area that was either on or next to a "sensitive cultural site."

"Occupiers appear to have excavated two large trenches and an improvised road on or adjacent to grounds containing sensitive artifacts," he wrote.

Williams also said in the filing - which was a response to occupiers' requests to have their attorneys allowed onto the site - that firearms and explosives were found, and it was feared vehicles and buildings could be booby trapped.

He said he would be willing to allow Bundy's legal team onto the site once authorities are finished processing it and before it is reopened to the public.

You know it's not really classic rock that I hate (Great covers of classic rock in here!)

it is the ubiquitousness of it that bugs the shit out of me. And the fact it negates music (To think that Bob Marley is the ONLY reggae artist is sickening)...and reduces artists to one or two songs, Unless it is Steve ("that non playing mutha fucka"*) Miller, whom they seem to play a lot on the radio, and none from when he was actually cool.

*Miles Davis*

I really like the songs (well some of them any way) and love it when a good band rips them up live like this one, putting their own stamp on it

In a couple of weeks, I am gonna be at a Eagles show played by the great bluegrassy band Poor Man's Whiskey, who have done "Darkside of the Moonshine" , Old and in the Way" and many other classic albums and artists and kill it every time.

I just got hit by a drone (toy one in the park)

man, they gotta start banning these things. Kids, 17, racing them around the park and whap, hit in the leg. Left a good size welt on me. Not a small one, a mid sized one as far as drones go.

Told the kid to call his parents and I would give it back to him. Dad was not happy.

Why Obama Should Nominate Barack Obama For The Supreme Court Vacancy

The solution to this political problem is staring at him in the mirror.

WASHINGTON -- Senate Republicans have insisted that no matter who President Barack Obama nominates for the Supreme Court, there will be no hearings, no votes, no nothing. But there may be one potential candidate that Republicans would have a hard time blocking: Obama could appoint constitutional law professor Barack Obama.

There's roughly a zero percent chance this'll happen, but here's why it makes sense: Appointing Obama would put the GOP in the position they've desperately wanted to be in since the man was inaugurated. They'd have the chance to vote him out of office. If he's truly as dangerous and illegitimate a president as Republicans say, then this is their opportunity to get him out of the White House by putting him on the court.

The move would also give Kentucky Republican Mitch McConnell a chance to virtually guarantee that he remains Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. (McConnell would have to persuade his colleagues not to filibuster.) Some of the most vulnerable Republicans would have their 2016 chances boosted by voting to confirm Obama. Sens. Pat Toomey (Pa.), Rob Portman (Ohio), Kelly Ayotte (N.H.) and Ron Johnson (Wis.) would be assured re-election if they could peel off a small portion of Democratic voters grateful for the bipartisan move.

With those four alone, Democrats would have 50 votes, a tie that could be broken by Vice President Joe Biden -- who would be all too pleased to cast the deciding vote to make himself president, even if he'd become one of the shortest-serving presidents in history. And Biden, of course, would then name his longtime ally and Senate successor Ted Kaufman as vice president. If Biden happened to meet the same sudden fate as Antonin Scalia did, Kaufman could quickly go about the business of breaking up the banks.

'Meth' Is Virtually Identical to Adderall —This Is How I Found Out

Public education campaigns designed to frighten people away from the illicit stimulant distort what the drug really does.

This article was originally published by The Influence, a news site that covers the full spectrum of human relationships with drugs. Follow The Influence on Facebook or Twitter.

The long subway ride from DC’s airport to Silver Spring was unusually pleasant. It had been about an hour since I had taken a low dose of methamphetamine. It was my 40th birthday—Oct. 30, 2006—and I was headed to a National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA)-sponsored meeting.

A friend who had a prescription for the drug had given me a couple of pills as a gift, knowing that I was an expert on amphetamines but had never actually taken any myself. I sat on the train feeling alert, mentally stimulated and euphorically serene.

When the effects had worn off after a few hours, I thought, That was nice. I worked out, and enjoyed a productive two-day meeting. I didn’t crave the drug or feel the need to take any more. I certainly didn’t engage in any unusual behaviors—hardly the stereotypical picture of a “meth head.”

So why is it that the general public has such a radically different view of this drug?

"Where To Invade Next"...Michael Moore's new movie

whaddayathink?

I have some friends who saw the complete movie this week via our community radio station here in NORCAL, KVMR, (www.kvmr.org)and all they could do was talk about the movie last night. He did make this one appearance (By phone and a fundraiser for the radio station) for this premiere (His sister lives around there) but hasn't been up to doing much to get the word out (Maybe it is GOD that doesn't want people to see the movie...didja ever think of that?) and sent this message out via Occupy Wall Street.(who are still around and active)

FROM Michael Moore, who needs our help.

Friends,

Thank you to all who have written to me about my stay this past week in the intensive care unit.

Unfortunately, as you may have heard, I came down with pneumonia. Truth be told, it was pretty serious, and other complications arose. But then, five days later, I was still alive — thanks to a combination of Directors Guild insurance, two I-V drips of alleged legal drugs, and a hospital TV that only got FOX News. I was released on my own recognizance, which I tried to explain may not be the best idea. I am now at home resting and binge watching the Real Housewives of The Walking Dead. All my appearances this week and last week supporting the release of my brand new movie, Where To Invade Next (Conan, Bill Maher, Charlie Rose, NPR, etc.), plus a special primary eve screening in New Hampshire, were and are canceled.

Needless to say, I’m pretty devastated. This film means a lot to me. To be sidelined – I can’t fly, I can’t travel, I can’t leave the house – in this, the most important week before it comes out… well, you can imagine what I’m going through. Trying to get back to just breathing is enough of a burden. To think that my film may now not reach the audience I made it for, let’s just say that doesn’t help the healing process.

Many of you have asked if there’s anything you can do to help me. I have thought about it – and, yes, actually, there is something you could do to help me.

I need you to be part of a quickly cobbled-together “army” of grassroots “ambassadors” who can do the work I was going to do this week to let people know about the movie and convince as many as possible to see it. I realize you haven’t seen Where To Invade Next, so I’m asking you to do this based on my past work and your hope that I’ve made a compelling film that might affect change in this country, that will inspire people to think about things in a different way. I believe that’s exactly what I’ve done, and many who’ve seen it agree. I also know this movie can have an enormous impact on the elections this year. It’s won a bunch of film festival prizes, it’s made the Oscars shortlist, and some have called it my best film ever. Possibly, just possibly.

But forget all that.
Here’s what I will tell you: You are going to be seriously f***ed up by Where To Invade Next. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever done. It will truly make your head spin for two hours while you “laugh AND cry — at the exact same moment,” as an audience member said to the cameras on the way out of the movie’s premiere.

Last week, laying in the hospital, I watched one Presidential candidate attack the candidate from Vermont for his ideas being “unrealistic,” “pie in the sky,” and “ideas that sound good on paper, but aren’t going to happen.” The truth is, all these great “ideas” – free universal health care, free university, free day care, taxing and policing hedge fund millionaires – have already happened in nearly every other industrialized country in the world! And I have the evidence – and the film — to prove it!

SNIP
things you could do right now from your computer or mobile device.
Here’s how you can help Where To Invade Next:

First, go see it! Text some friends right now and say, “hey, let’s go see it tonight!” Commit now to go to a theater that’s playing it this weekend. It’s opening in every major and mini-major city in the country. If you live in a place the size of Binghamton, NY, or Grand Rapids, MI, then they’re playing “Where To Invade Next.” You can find a theater near you here.
Right now, you can TWEET the following: “.@MMFlint’s 1st film in 6 years is coming out today, and he needs our help with #WhereToInvadeNext! Read & RT! http://michaelmoore.com/WhereToInvadeNextArmy/

If a few thousand of you suddenly became champions and ambassadors for “Where To Invade Next”, then maybe we can pull this off. I certainly would be forever in your debt. Thanks for being there for me.

All my best,
Michael

ha. I LOVE it when I school some right to carry zealot

like today. "states that have less gun laws are safer" he said.

"uh, no they aren't" I said. "that info is easy to look up" I said and he did after he saw me looking on google.

"i'll be dammned" he said.

love it. Of course he went on about how he was an open carry advocate and needed his gun in "bad neighborhoods" that he had to visit due to his work. I asked him if he was packing at the moment and told me he wasn't, he didn't need one at this particular Starbucks, located in a nice suburban neighborhood.
