COP to Citizen: "What are you, some kind of Constitutionalist?"

https://www.facebook.com/facebook/videos/1015323137

This from a FB friend of mine in Rhonert Park (Northern CA)

How about having a gun pulled on you today. Love the Rhonert Park Police.

NOTE, I am not anti police however the lies and distrust I've encountered from the Rohnert Park & Petaluma Police over the last 15 months is something I wouldn't ever believe if I heard it from someone else. This is just a time I was smart enough to hit record as I was approached at my home.
Backdrop: I was hooking the boat up when the officer pulled slowly into my court. When he rounded infront of my house he stopped yet did nothing, then crept forward and instead of leaving toward Snyder he rounded the court opposite of me, then stopped facing me for a few minutes, doing nothing but pointing straight at me/my house. After a couple minutes I was concerned enough to pull out my phone and hit record. Glad I did. The arragance he showed me shouldn't come from an officer of the law. They should de-escalate, not escalate or provoke....
Very thankful my 5 year old daughter and the rest of the family were not home as well.

It's Official -- Bernie Sanders Has Overtaken Hillary Clinton In the Hearts and Minds of Democrats

According to PBS, Bernie Sanders is "gaining against Clinton in early polls." Salon's Bill Curry believes "Hillary Clinton is going lose," primarily because millions of voters longing for a truly progressive candidate will nominate Sanders. POLITICO explained recently that Early-state polls hint at a Bernie Sanders surge, a headline that was unthinkable only several months earlier. Yahoo's Meredith Shiner calls Sanders a "progressive social media star and pragmatic legislator" and states that "Sanders also has a much more substantial legislative history" than any GOP challenger. In Iowa, 1,100 people packed a gym to hear Bernie Sanders speak in May.

In contrast, Team Hillary had an intimate business roundtable discussion with five "ordinary" Iowans. The only problem was that according to The Washington Post, "All five were selected to attend her events." In fact, Clinton's "staged roundtables" were attended by a total of 13 Iowans, picked by either the campaign or the host.

Therefore, a paradigm shift has taken place. Many Iowans drove 50 miles to hear Sanders speak in Des Moines, primarily because Bernie Sanders has surpassed Clinton as the ideal choice for Democratic nominee. Regarding electability, Sanders has also surpassed Clinton as the realistic choice for Democratic nominee in the minds of many voters, because as one Salon piece illustrates, Hillary "just doesn't get it."

I've been wearing my Bernie 2016 pin since Wednesday

And it has generated a LOT of conversation. I've gotten a big bunch of "yeah right on's" but...
It also has mad me think just how hard it is going to be, so many people don't even know him at all ("Who's that" "What is he running for?" etc) along with the "he's a commie, "a librul" and my very favorite, "He's from Vermont and that automatically make him crazy".

I am still trying to figure out how to answer the questions people have about him. But most people don't want to know much, there are so many low information people out there.

Gonna be interesting.

Man convicted for threatening federal ranger during Bundy Ranch stand-off gets one day in jail

It seems like only yesterday that militia members were rushing to the aid of Cliven Bundy, the Nevada rancher who has let his cattle graze on federal lands for two decades without paying the associated fees and despite losing several lawsuits and defying numerous court orders to pay up.

Cliven's refusal to pay and his insistence he had every right to let his cattle graze on federally protected lands spurred hundreds of militia members to take up the cause. Many of them were seen pointing weapons at federal officers near the ranch.

Well, justice has finally arrived for at least one federal ranger. Will Michael, a Pennsylvania man, has been sentenced for leaving a profanity-laced death threat on Chief Ranger Mike Roop's voicemail:

On Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Mitchell S. Goldberg in Philadelphia sentenced Michael, 24, to one day of imprisonment, to be followed by three years' supervised release, and a $200 special assessment. Under federal sentencing guidelines, Michael could have been sentenced to 15 to 21 months behind bars.

Goldberg ordered Michael to complete 50 hours of community service and write a letter of apology to Roop. He must also keep a job and apply to at least three colleges by the end of the year.
