On Dakota Access, Obama says Army corps is weighing whether to reroute pipeline

Source: The Washington Post

But even as Obama raised the possibility of rerouting the pipeline, he seemed to suggest that it would go forward. Many climate activists have called on him to halt the project altogether, the way he blocked construction of the Keystone XL pipeline last year between Canada and the U.S. Gulf Coast.“There’s no reroute that doesn’t involve the same risks to water and climate,” Henn said. “The president must submit Dakota Access to the same climate test as Keystone XL, a test it will surely fail.”

Obama AND Hillary are weak AF on this ... "let it play out for few weeks"? This has been going on for months!! We are allowing a private company to dig up burial grounds, destroy the environment, use attack dogs, rubber bullets, tear gas, taser, sound cannons(wtf), arrests and strip searches. This is fracked oil and is financed by the same banks that support Hillary.
Do any Hillary supporters have any ideas why she won't come out against this? It would do a lot to make people like me believe everything she has on her website about respecting the environment and protecting people over corporations is true and not just her "public opinion".
The only politician to come out against this environmental disaster has been Bernie Sanders.

Clinton Campaign Responds to DAPL Face-Off

Source: Indian Country - Today Media Network.com

“We received a letter today from representatives of the tribes protesting the construction of the Dakota Access pipeline. From the beginning of this campaign, Secretary Clinton has been clear that she thinks all voices should be heard and all views considered in federal infrastructure projects. Now, all of the parties involved—including the federal government, the pipeline company and contractors, the state of North Dakota, and the tribes—need to find a path forward that serves the broadest public interest. As that happens, it's important that on the ground in North Dakota, everyone respects demonstrators' rights to protest peacefully, and workers' rights to do their jobs safely.”

Telling - "the need to find a path forward that serves the broadest public interest"
Does not sound supportive of the Native Americans.

Dakota Pipeline ignored by press, this site, and HRC

http://standwithstandingrock.net/statement-youth-standing-rock-tribe-future-president/

I am so hoping she gives some sort of indication how she feels about this prior to the vote.
This is a key issue for me and so many others. It is imperative she address it. The only press coverage it seems to get is on Lawrence O'Donnell (MSNBC)
