How did it happen?

It does seem inconceivable that Hillary Clinton was left off a list of inspirational women. So what are the mechanics of this? I would think Hillary supporters on the organizing committee would insist her name be on the list. So what happened? This seems to be a very odd situation.

We are getting a series of posts explaining how the women's march is somehow "tainted" because one of the organisers was a Bernie supporter, or dissed Hillary, or something. Are you serious, people? Can you not resist trampling sour grapes even for a few days? Even if your manufactured outrage detracts from the women's march? Are you unable to draw any lines? Have you no self control at all? Smoke a doobie, drink a beer, or do some breathing excercizes. Something, anything, to control these destructive impulses. Please.

Well, it's Friday. End of another week. Not much going on here. No plans for the weekend. Some old Elvis movies on TV. Just another day, I guess.

It would be nice to think about MLK today.

The pace of progress on race relations was pretty rapid years ago, but we seem to have slowed down in recent years. I sometimes hear people say that we have turned the tables, that black Americans now enjoy more rights and privileges than white people. I know a couple people who voted for Trump for this very reason, because they saw black gains as their losses. Zero sum thinking. They wonder why black Americans have their own holiday, and they don't. And so on.

I don't have details, but I have learned the names of some of the programs and policies that will replace the ACA. You can set up a new medical savings account under the Personal Insurance Savings System. Your medical bills may be lower if you participate in the Cost Reduction Adjustment Program. You may be required to do your own diagnosis for minor illnesses, but you have to qualify by taking Special High Intensity Training. And your final expenses, if our new system let's you down in the end, could be covered by the Funeral, Undertaker and Cremation Kiln Deal.

OK, if it just shows what Trump was watching, I could handle that. But if it depicts him laughing, smirking, etc. And what if he makes one of his stupid comments? That would go waaaay beyond porn. The hateful articles in the National Enquirer were instrumental in defeating Hillary Clinton. When I go through the line at the grocery store, I always pick up the Enquirer, browse through it, and replace it in its holder, with the cover facing inward. Makes me feel good. I suggest you try it and see if it makes you feel good, too.
