Back in January and February I fell on the ice - hard - and I jammed my hip. The trauma cut off the blood supply to the femoral head and I have avascular necrosis. The femoral head is disintegrating. I have to have a hip replacement, no ifs ands or buts.
This morning I got a cortisone shot in my hip. I cannot believe I immediately feel so much better. I'll get the hip replacement this fall. When the cortisone wears off I'll be miserable again.
Has anyone gone through this and can anybody tell me how long the relief from the shot lasts?

This is just before the 4th of July weekend. We get time to think about the ideals this country was founded on (and which are being tattered right now by the SCOTUS) and the fact that a former president staged a coup to steal an election, wanted his VP dead, assaulted a SS agent, throws things against the wall in temper tantrums, etc.
And I don't think this is the peak.
But we get to think about the 4th of July and THIS WHOLLY incompetent, criminal unfit, insane motherfucker. What a fucking contrast.

The company, known as Digital World Acquisition Corp., revealed the subpoenas in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing dated June 24 and warned they “could materially delay, materially impede, or prevent consummation” of the deal. If the combination goes through, Trump’s business could gain access to more than $1 billion committed by investors.
The grand jury is at least the third investigative entity to scrutinize Trump’s special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) deal, after the SEC and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority opened investigations of their own.

Johnson said he then introduced the attorney to his chief of staff by text message to handle the request. He said he did not know what the document was or intended to accomplish.
In a story by conservative reporter John Solomon and shared by Johnson on Thursday, Solomon reported Kelly also called Troupis to get elector documents to Pence that morning through Johnson.

Enough bashing each other for what SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED. Revisiting 2016 or the stolen SCOTUS seat or the fucking Jill Stein voters is not going to make our lives any better this day.

Every time this illegitimate SCOTUS comes out with another horrifying ruling I think of RBG, but especially today.
She thought abortion should have been decided on a different case, and based on equal protection, or sex discrimination, not privacy, because she said that basing it on equal protection wouldn't allow it to be overturned. Basing it only on privacy wasn't as strong a foundation. She said that only women become pregnant, so discrimination on that basis is a violation of equality.
