OK, I know no one misses 'em but me...
But I really do want to share the last artist i dial up every night on my way to bed
Tonight's pick is a beautiful original from my newest school boy crush - Sunny War
He's not as good a defender as he was 3 years ago
And he can't be relied on to hit well all season long - His hands and wrists just don't hold up anymore
But he will still gun you down at second base. Even if you are one of the fastest players in the Bigs
Sad to hear the news this morning. Nanci Griffith passed away last night at the age of 68
I'm sure I would've posted a thread about her sooner or later, but just never quite got to it.
We lost a great song writer, a story teller with an angels voice.
Rest Peacefully Ms. Griffith
I wish I believed in a reality that would allow these duets to happen again.
But she was so much more than harmony on another artist's songs
40 year old pitcher Adam Wainright
hit a double and an RBI single while pitching a 2 hit complete game shut out
He accounted for more total bases and RBIs than he allowed.
There were 3 stellar plays behind him late in the game that preserved the shut out - and for one night I enjoyed being a Card fan - Again
Jalan Crossland has been kicking around for a long time, but
I only learned about him during the lock down.
I have since become a missionary - spreading his good works far and wide
Great picker. Really good song writer. Good singer (for a song writing guitarist).
Sure do wish that Gord and the boys were working on a new record right about now
Miss you Gord.
Remember this version? Here are "Covers I liked in High School But Didn't Know They Were Covers"
This got some play on Pittsburgh/Wheeling/Steubenville Radio
My uncle clued me in that this was an ABB song pretty quickly but for a couple weeks, I thought it was Molly Hatchet's
I was so ignorant of blues that I though George wrote this. Until I read an interview in Cream magazine where he said all the best songs were already written. He then talked about all the people who he stole from
Alla yinz need to watch this
