Deadwood: The Movie (really?!?)
Yes! Says Ian McShane here:

One project you mentioned earlier, we keep hearing theres a Deadwood movie in development and David Milch is working on that script. Are you willing and able to reprise your role as Al Swearengen given your other commitments, and whats the latest youve heard on that?
Yeah! Of course Id love to reprise that. How could one not, when it was snatched away rather unjustly by a combination of forces well never know about? Hubris or money or whatever. But [Deadwood] certainly finished too early. At the time, most of us working on the show were incredulous. Its been announced by HBO, so its not like Im saying it. I know for a fact David is working on the script. Its been 10 years since it finished. [Star Timothy Olyphants] free from Justified. Im hoping theyll make the deal soon, for two or four hours, whatever they decide on. It was a very close knit group of actors on it. We got along very well. Im sure David will decide to set it 10 years later, after the great fire or whatever happened in Deadwood. They havent done the deal yet. They [were planning] to do it late this year or early next year.
Mad Dogs, on Amazon Prime
Never heard a word about this show, am into the fifth episode of the series. It's pretty amusing. Takes place in Belize, about 5 guys, childhood friends (Michael Imperioli (Christopher, Sopranos), Steve Zahn, Romany Malco (Weeds), Ben Chaplin and Billy Zane) -- getting themselves into trouble no matter what they seem to do. Dark humor.
Oh, and Molly from the series Fargo plays a similar character to her one on Fargo.

Hah! Teachers take note
The Gambler, on Amazon Prime
I expected this to be the typical gambler story, but I really enjoyed it. Mark Wahlberg is the main character, but the real, for me, show-stealer was Dan Goodman. He only had a few scenes, but they were memorable. Tarantino level memorable, imho.
Trying to get my money's worth on a 30-day free trial of Amazon Prime. So far so good!
Question about the show "TURN" on AMC (spoilers?)
Rewatching the first two seasons so I can better understand what is happening in the current 3rd season.
Season 2 episode 5, the one that begins with Robert Rogers confronting Washington in Washington's own tent. At the end of that sequence, Washington has Rogers taken away, presumably to be locked up, right?
But later in that episode, after the French guy is dispatched with the King George ledger page, Rogers shows up again? WTF? No explanation, or did I miss it?
Even during the planning session about how to get that page back to France, Brewster is emphasizing to Washington how Rogers will do anything to stop the page from getting to France; at that point, why doesn't Washington say, "Oh him? Yeah, I had him taken away earlier." But instead, Washington is like "Oh yeah, we have to worry about Rogers intercepting this!"
Why?
Season 2 of 30 Degrees in February, on Netflix now
What a great show. Highly recommended. Mainly about Swedes living in Thailand, but more just about the human condition, and so well done.
Don’t hug your dog – it hates it
Animal psychologists say dogs feel stressed and unhappy when they are embraced by their owners, because it stops them being able to run away.
In a study which analysed 250 pictures of dogs as they were being hugged, eight out of 10 animals looked visibly uncomfortable.

This sucks. Not surprising, but really, really sucks.
