Could Trump Be Criminally Prosecuted For Sexual Assault

Now That More Women Came Forward?

We’re now up to six women who have formally accused Donald Trump of sexual assault. Jessica Leeds, Rachel Crooks, Mindy McGillvray, Cassandra Searles, Jill Harth, and “Jane Doe” have all come forward with accusations ranging from inappropriate touching to violent rape. Whatever the truth of these women’s allegations are (and for the record, Jason Miller, Senior Communications Advisor for the Trump campaign, has categorically denied these allegations on his candidate’s behalf), this isn’t a story that’s likely to simply fade away. Let’s talk about what’s legally significant about these allegations:

Court ruling could be game changer for Dems in Nevada

Native Americans in Nevada will have greater voting access next month than ever before, boosting the chances that Democrats retain a key Senate seat and capture the state’s six electoral votes in the presidential election.

A federal court last week ruled in favor of tribes after they challenged the state of Nevada under the Voting Rights Act. Chairman Vinton Hawley of the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe and Chairman Bobby D. Sanchez of the Walker River Paiute Tribe spearheaded the legal challenge, claiming they did not have equal access to vote after requests for additional polling stations had been denied.

“We chose Nevada about a year ago,” said lobbyist Tom Rodgers, founder and president of Carlyle Consulting, who has worked on the case on a pro bono basis.

“We chose it because of the presidential race implications, control of the Senate implications,” he said, also noting that Nevada residents had some of the most intense fallout from the 2008 financial crisis.

He worked with the tribal leaders and three military veterans from their communities — Ralph Burns, Robert James and Johnny Williams Jr. — and OJ Semans and Bret Healy of a voting rights consultancy called Four Directions.

In general, Native Americans vote for the Democratic Party; turnout in Nevada is expected to be the deciding factor in multiple races up and down the ballot.

We stand with you Mr. Trump

Some Donald Trump Supporters Are Defending His Lewd Comments Because He’s a Sinner Who’s Now Saved

When the Republican presidential nominee boasts about grabbing women “by the pussy” and thrusting himself upon them without invitation, what do you do when you’re a conservative Christian who has a lot riding on his victory?

The right answer is to admit your candidate is awful, tell the world that you could never vote for him, and reflect on how people like you may have contributed to his rise.

The wrong answer is to pretend like Donald Trump wasn’t a real Christian when all of this happened in 2005… or to toss out some other faith-based platitude excusing his disgusting behavior.

Black robes at the Red Mass

the undesirable religiosity of Supreme Court justices

“Red Mass” sounds like an unfortunate medical condition. Sadly, it’s worse. Red mass is a condition that plagues our body politic (or judicial).

Every year on the Sunday before the start of the Supreme Court term, some of the highest judges in our land attend a Catholic mass. The purpose of the mass is to ask for God’s guidance for the Supreme Court justices and others who work in the law.

Trump Is Tearing the NFL Apart

Fights. Friendships ended. Racial divides. Requirements not to talk about a combustible candidate on team property. B/R Mag’s examination of the football locker room electorate reveals that America’s most popular sport is just as politically divided as the nation itself

Christian hypocracy laid bare

Giuliani: 'Everybody' has history of infidelity"

Speaking on NBC's "Meet the Press," Giuliani, an adviser to Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, stood by his earlier statement that Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton is too stupid to be president if she didn't know former President Bill Clinton was cheating on her.

"Are you the right person to level this charge?" host Chuck Todd asked Giuliani, who has been married three times.

Trump Tells Non-Christians

At Rally To Identify Themselves

Some day maybe we will get our own armbands!

Donald Trump bragged about the support he received from Christian conservatives at an event in Iowa on Wednesday night, and even asked those backers to raise their hands.

Then he asked audience members who were not Christian to identify themselves.

“Raise your hand if you’re not a Christian conservative. I want to see this, right? Oh there’s a a couple people, that’s all right,” Trump said as he dismissively waved a hand. “I think we’ll keep them, right? Should we keep them in the room, yes? I think so.”

Markets declare Hillary Clinton the winner of first debate

Source: CNBC

Hillary Clinton appears to have edged out her Republican opponent Donald Trump in the first presidential debate, based on analysts' take on the market reaction.

"Early indications suggest Hillary won the debate; at least didn't lose. Futures are higher and the peso is rallying," said Jack Ablin, chief investment officer at BMO Private Bank.

U.S. stock index futures erased losses to trade positive as the debate kicked off. Futures were near session highs as the debate ended, with Dow futures briefly adding more than 100 points.
