Interesting discussion i had with a Hispanic neighbor

The guy who lives across the alley from us is a Mexican guy, married, three kids and owns his own business. Roofing and siding.
A few months ago we had an epic storm, called derecho blow through Iowa. 80 to 100 mile per hour winds, torrential rainfall and lots of damage to houses among other things. In other words, an inland hurricane. Now I am filing an insurance claim to get some new siding on our house because it wasn't spared either. So I went over to talk to the neighbor after he got home about an estimate to put on the siding. He agreed and him and I started talking about politics when he saw my Biden sign in the front yard. He told me that he is real busy now because of the storm damage, but he could give me a reasonable price on the siding and gutters. But...if I would have had a trump sign he may have quoted a higher price or turned me down altogether. I mentioned that didn't seem real professional, that money is all green. He told me that right now he has enough work to keep him and his crew busy until around July of next year right now and just doesn't need any bs trump supporters right now. He also showed me his credentials, licensed and bonded as well as testimonials from other customers.
Anyway, long story short, I did tell him that I needed two more estimates per my insurance company's instructions. He did give me a reasonable estimate and most likely we will hire him to do the job. Especially since he despises the orange pos.
