AOCrocks's JournalThe Dem candidate for Congress in my district spends more time
attacking Dems than attacking the GOP. Not sure I can support this guy. What is really making it difficult is that our republican representative has voted more with the Dems than the GOP. He voted against the tax cut and the repeals of the ACA. I really dont know what to do.
Met Steve Kornacki today.
Came to my office to do a presentation on the midterms. He is far less hyper in person.

Hillary Clinton was not the 'lesser of two evils'
I am so sick of hearing this from those on the purity left.
Watched Chris Hayes show last night and he had some people that didn't vote in 16 and the reason they gave was that they didn't want to vote for the 'lesser of two evils'. That is total BS.
Hillary Clinton would not:
- Separate parents seeking asylum from their children.
- Sign a tax bill that is a giveaway to corporations and billionaires
- Cut environmental regulations
- Appoint far right wing judges like Gorsuch and Kavanaugh
- Cut ACA funding
- Insult our allies while bowing down to Putin.
There is no way Hillary Clinton was the 'lesser of two evils'. Those who refuse to get off their high horse of their "principles" to do the right thing for their country are as much of the problem as those on the right. They need to grow up and realize that elections are not all about them needing to feel inspired. Voting is a responsibility and civic duty.
All Federal officials and employees take an oath
to uphold the Constitution:
They do not take an oath of loyalty to or blindly obey the leader.
I know that many here are concerned by yesterday's NYT Op-Ed that many un-elected federal officials and/or employees are not following the orders of the current elected President, calling it a coup and shadow government.
But isn't this how a democratic republic should operate. Loyalty should not be to the leader, that's how dictatorships work, but to the law, specifically our constitution.
