Hugh_Lebowski's Journaljohnny marr - how soon is now (live in studio - 2021) this rendition kicks so much ass
I mean sure I'd rather hear Morrissey sing it, but Johnny acquits himself VERY nicely on vocals. And the band NAILS it, sound mix is amazing ... this is phenomenal.
What would happen if IQ45 just ... didn't show up by Friday the 25th?
Serious question, what happens if he just goes 'Fuck You Judge I ain't going, you'll have to come and get me'.
He's in FL. (Edit: okay, currently in NJ but could return to FL anytime)
DeSantis would very much be stuck between a rock and a hard place when it came to an extradition decision.
I wouldn't be much surprised if this isn't what he's planning, unless there's some angle I'm unaware of.
🏳 ️ 🌈 brandi and catherine carlile - closer to fine (live july 2023) 🏳 ️ 🌈
I don't usually post cell-phone videos but this one sounds great (for cell phone video) and looks good, and who doesn't love this song? Their rendition is awesome.

This is awesome-sauce right here. I'm not much into his slick studio recordings but he can get down with acoustic versions of his songs as he does here, with a fantastic backing band.
The latter two are my faves esp. the last one, which is off his new album ... and it's just stellar. Brought some moisture to my eyes, put it like that. You gotta love his humbleness, he seems so down to earth for someone who's as big a star as he is (like the guy has 5 songs with over 1.5 BILLION listens each on Spotify ... just the two songs Sunflower and Circle have 5,000,000,000 listens between the two of them).
It's hard to do a song in Dylan's 60's style and really sound legit
Like you have to nail the sound, and then also the lyrical style, the metaphors, the randomness. Just like trying to sound like the Beatles, everything has to come together or you sound like a pale imitation.
This 2008 tune by Blitzen Trapper is one I think Dylan could've written, and would've been a celebrated song in his catalog, matter of fact.
Happy Saturday, enjoy friends
Yeah, when I was only 17
I could hear the angels whispering
So I droned into the words and wondered aimlessly about
Until I heard my mother shouting through the fog
It turned out to be the howling of a dog
Or a wolf to be exact
The sound sent shivers down my back
But I was drawn into the pack and before long
They allowed me to join in and sing their song
So from the cliffs and highest hill
Yeah, we would gladly get our fill
Howling endlessly and shrilly at the dawn
And I lost the taste for judging right from wrong
For my flesh had turned to fur, yeah
And my thoughts, they surely were
Turned to instinct and obedience to God
vargas blues band - blues latino (live-2011) fantastic sound, song, and chops
Can't believe I never heard of the guy (Javier Vargas) til just now (thanks Spotify!) but apparently he's huge in his native Spain and I can see why
This is so, so tasty. Happy Friday!
Bonus track, seems to be from earlier this year but I can't be sure ... also, the singer is Mick Jagger's nephew.
loggins & messina - lahaina (studio-1973) just spun up their full sail record
cause
a) I was thinking of Lahaina
b) I'd not heard the whole thing since I heard it like 50 times as an 8 y.o. kid cause my stepdad loved it.
Anyways, it's a pretty freaking great album and it tripped me out how I still remembered a lot of the lyrics.
This is another fave track from the album I totally forgot about ... but would dance around and sing along to as a little kid

It's raining in the PHX East Valley, with thunder and lightning this AM
This is VERY odd time of day for it to just START raining here at this time of the year. We get monsoons and haboobs but they pretty much always start in the late afternoon, and the rain from them comes just before/after sundown in pretty much all cases.
Happy for the moisture (and it's only 88F outside) but I can only recall a small handful of times in the 15 years I've been here that a thunderstorm and rain hit in the early AM hours
Tony LaRussa makes a return to the ballpark for induction of some A's Hall of Famers
Including legends Carney Lansford and Gene Tenace. This is the A's HOF, not the League HOF.
I'm not at liberty to discuss details but many will recall he was managing the White Sox last year, and then quit midway through the season due to health problems. I can tell you he's been on the mend for quite awhile now, and it was not an easy road. As you can see he looks quite different/thinner.
That's him in background with his girls Devon and Bianca, Devon's hubby, and my goofball brother in the foreground of course.
