Hugh_Lebowski's Journalwild rivers - thinking 'bout love (live-12/2019) featuring 'voices of our city choir' of san diego
this is freaking killer y'all
cold war kids - first (2014) a classic banger to get your friday afternoon rolling
Live acoustic, pretty badass. No autotune here, dude can legit sing.
strand of oaks - shut in (studio-2014) one for all us shut-ins and loners
This one came out like 6 years too early ... song starts at 1:00.
Great tune friends ...
Live Version, and it kicks ass!
Dems should very publicly offer a compromise with RePuQs ... 1/6 for Election Theft
As in, we'll create independent commissions to investigate both.
You get your 'voter/election fraud' commission, we get our 1/6 commission.
Put 'em right on the spot.
They don't REALLY want any part of any real 'Election Theft' investigation, but lets make them admit it.
Poll/Trivia question about the Age of Consent in US States - NO GOOGLE!
There are 3 Ages of Consent in US States + DC ... of course they are 16, 17 and 18.
These 3 ages are distributed as follows:
#1 - 31 States or DC (61%)
#2 - 12 States or DC (24%)
#3 - 8 States or DC (16%)
Total is 101% due to rounding.
Here's the trivia question ... WITHOUT Googling ... match the 3 ages to the 3 rankings.
I really don't think there's many MAG regulars who won't dig the latest from The Killers
Their August 2020 album is called Imploding the Mirage, and I've posted a couple tracks the past few months
Tellin' ya, like every song is at least really good, and a few are really, really good
Freaking Lindsey Buckingham even plays on it. As does Adam Granduciel (from The War on Drugs). And k.d. lang sings on one song!
Check it friends!
sleigh bells - rill rill (studio-2011) no idea what it's about, but it's a stupid catchy tune :)
grimes - easily (studio - 2015) staggeringly great sounding song if you have a serious stereo system
I don't know who around here does, nobody ever mentions what they're rocking for a system.
But if you do, esp. one with a good sub and speakers that image and soundstage well, this song is a treat, folks.
The soundstage is huge, extends well outside the speakers to either side, sounds about 10 feet tall, with instruments placed all over the stage. It's not very 3D sounding, but 2D-wise, it's phenomenal.
And the artist who wrote and sings the song, did all the instruments/programming, drew the funky cover art ... also produced this record, in her home studio.
Grimes is a freaking badass chick.
For the record, my current setup is:
PC (spotify, flac, etc)
Anthem Statement D1 Preamp/SSP (TOSLINK from the PC)
Denon POA-5000 Power Amp
Polk LSi 15 Towers
Paradigm Defiance 15" 900W RMS Sub with Anthem Room Correction
