Political Jobs/Volunteering

Not sure if this is the right forum for this or DU Lounge.


Was hoping to get a discussion going on ways to try and help Democrats win this year. I'm fed up with my job and looking to get into politics, but not having much luck doing so. My degree is in Poli Sci, but I don't have experience in it. I'm a Maryland resident and work in D.C. so I'm near it all.

Have any of you gotten involved in political careers or volunteering? How do you join a campaign to elect a Democrat? My Senator is up for re-election this year, but haven't found a way to join his campaign. What are the best ways to get a paid job or volunteer for campaigns or Capitol Hill?

Where did this even come from? Sounds like Nunes is involved, but it just blew up on twitter trending out of nowhere. Is this another distraction now that the NRA is implicated in treason?

Woa! NYT: Mueller has substantiated Comey's testimony

Big news on Rachel!

Mueller has corroborated Comey's interactions with Trump that he wrote in his memos. Reince Priebus is apparently one of the ones who confirmed the news.

Wow this is big. Trump is sooooo guilty.


Now if only we didn't have an entire army of criminals in the majority of Congress. Trump should be impeached tomorrow.

Watching Joy in for Lawrence

She again is debunking the Uranium One nonsense.

Wow, I know most of the basics, and I've seen her brilliant debunk a few weeks ago, but just the way she lays it out makes it even more so insanely ridiculous at how stupid Republicans are for pushing it.

It's literally a fabrication of Breitbart, Bannon, and the Mercers. A completely lawful transaction that was approved by 8 other federal agencies besides the State department, as well as John Huntsman, Trump's current Ambassador of Russia.

It's just so frustrating how sick these people are!!!
