I am really bad at posting tweets, so if someone knows how to do it, please feel free to. Otherwise, the tweet is in the link.
The line that particularly struck a chord with me was why do we worship felons, losers, weirdos & people without power or success?
And while I know that you will likely retract, justify, or explain away your statement which apparently has since been deleted it wont change the fact that you made it and likely meant every word.
Do you mean the people who youve made your money and fame off of? The people whose pockets your programs rape under the guise of empowering the underdog? Those people? To feign ignorance of the oppression and systematic killing of Black people and people of color who fill your conferences, buy your books and programs, and build around your diluted content is irresponsible and criminal.
To pretend you dont see our struggle while your brilliant marketing is built around exploiting our struggle is disgusting. However with this revelation I am thankful. I am thankful that I was able to come across your content at a young age, digest it, and share that knowledge with others. Im thankful that I became so inspired by your book that I went and wrote one of my own.

Let's talk about the look so we can see beyond it
I think this is a really good PSA.
I have mixed feelings about this. I don't know if this ad is being shown in other markets, I just saw it on BET. Black Entertainment TV for those not familiar. I was thinking, uhm, you are preaching to the choir. Hopefully it is being shown elsewhere. Also, it doesn't matter what your status is or what your job is, everyone should be treated with dignity and respect.

Tattoo artists offering free service to cover up tattoos of hate symbols
I just saw that story on my local news. What a fabulous thing to do. There was a young lady that was getting hers done, she said she got the hate symbol tattooed when she was younger and she's changed and regrets it.
Since we are talking about the Tulsa Massacre, The Osage murders is just as important
Killers of the Flower Moon- excellent book about this is being made into a movie that will star Robert Deniro.

Very timely. Killed at Home: Legal Battle Reopened over 2011 Police Shooting of black ex marine
Killed at Home: Legal Battle Reopened over 2011 Police Shooting of Elderly Black Ex-Marine in NY
We look at a major development in the case of Kenneth Chamberlain Sr., a Black man killed in his own apartment in White Plains, New York, during a police confrontation in 2011, after he accidentally triggered his medical alert pendant. On Monday, the 2nd Circuit of Appeals ruled a federal judge was wrong to dismiss parts of a lawsuit against the police for excessive use of force. My family and I are extremely overjoyed that the original ruling was vacated, says Kenneth Chamberlain Jr. I think that people are now coming together, and theyre saying that extrajudicial killings and summary executions of unarmed Black men, women and children is no longer going to be tolerated. We also speak with the familys attorney. Most people would be able to agree that when youre at home sleeping and you havent committed any crime, that you wouldnt expect that the police are going to break your door down and kill you in particular if theyre responding for a medical call where you think that theyre there to help you, says Mayo Bartlett.
I read the transcript- I can't watch the video or listen to the audio. If you can stomach it, please read the transcript.
LIFEAID OPERATOR: This is your help center for LifeAid, Mr. Chamberlain. Do you need help?
KENNETH CHAMBERLAIN SR.: Yes, this is an emergency! I have the White Plains Police Department banging on my door, and I did not call them, and I am not sick!
LIFEAID OPERATOR: Everythings all right, sir?
KENNETH CHAMBERLAIN SR.: No, its not all right! I need help! The White Plains Police Department are banging on my door!
AMY GOODMAN: After Kenneth Chamberlain told LifeAid he was OK but afraid of the police at the door, the LifeAid operator attempted to cancel the call for police assistance. Chamberlain went on to tell the LifeAid operator that the police had drawn their guns and were attempting to break down his door. Again, listen closely.
LIFEAID OPERATOR: Officers, this is LifeAid. Are you inside Mr. Chamberlains home?
KENNETH CHAMBERLAIN SR.: Theyre breaking in my door! Theyre breaking in my door!
LIFEAID OPERATOR: Mr. Chamberlain, I heard you say theyre breaking in your door. Are you OK?
KENNETH CHAMBERLAIN SR.: My door.
LIFEAID OPERATOR: Mr. Chamberlain, are you OK?
KENNETH CHAMBERLAIN SR.: Im fine!
LIFEAID OPERATOR: OK. You pressed your medical button. Thats why the officers are there. Can you go to the door and speak to them?
KENNETH CHAMBERLAIN SR.: Im not opening up the door. Theyve got their guns out! They have their guns out!
LIFEAID OPERATOR: OK. Do you have weapon, Mr. Chamberlain?
KENNETH CHAMBERLAIN SR.: I [inaudible] weapons. I am just protecting myself.
LIFEAID OPERATOR: OK. Theyre not there to hurt you. Im here on the line.
POLICE OFFICER: Mr. Chamberlain, were not here to help hurt you. Were here to give you a hand, help you out.
KENNETH CHAMBERLAIN SR.: Im OK! I told you I was OK! [inaudible] Im OK! Im fine! Leave me alone! Im fine!
AMY GOODMAN: Leave me alone, says Kenneth Chamberlain. One of the officers, Stephen Hart, was accused of hurling a racial slur, the N-word, at Chamberlain during the incident. Listen carefully to this audio, released by the White Plains Police Department. You can hear the Officer Hart banging on Chamberlains window. Chamberlain repeatedly says, Dont do that. Im OK. The officer responds, yes, by using the N-word. Listen closely.
OFFICER STEPHEN HART: Mr. Chamberlain!
KENNETH CHAMBERLAIN SR.: Dont do that. Dont do that, officer. Dont do that. Dont do that. Dont do that. Do not do that! Im telling you Im OK!
OFFICER STEPHEN HART: I dont give a [bleep], nigger!
KENNETH CHAMBERLAIN SR.: Im telling you Im OK!
OFFICER STEPHEN HART: [inaudible]
KENNETH CHAMBERLAIN SR.: Im telling you Im OK.
AMY GOODMAN: A video camera on the police Taser gun recorded the next sequence. You can hear Kenneth Chamberlain say the police have stun guns and shotguns. He then predicts the police will kill him. Again, a warning: This contains disturbing footage.

A Cop Shot a 10-Year-Old and Got Qualified Immunity. Tom Brady and 1,400 Other Pro Athletes
A Cop Shot a 10-Year-Old and Got Qualified Immunity. Tom Brady and 1,400 Other Pro Athletes Want To Fix That.
Citing work from Reason, players and coaches from the NFL, NBA, and MLB are urging Congress to end qualified immunity.
Qualified immunity has gone from a little-known issue to problem du jourand for good reason. The legal doctrine allows public officials, including police officers, to violate your rights without fear of recourse, if those rights have not been spelled out somewhere by a preexisting court precedent.
Now this doctrine has drawn the ire of the Players Coalition, a group made up of current and former athletes and coaches from the National Football League, the National Basketball Association, and Major League Baseball. Members of the group have sent a letter to Congress this week urging lawmakers to support the Ending Qualified Immunity Act, a bill introduced by Rep. Justin Amash (LMich.).
"The Supreme Court has caused irreparable harm to public trust by creating and then expanding the doctrine of qualified immunity, which often exempts police officers and others from liability, even for shocking abuse," the letter reads. The 1,400 figures signing the letter include Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Steve Kerr, Odell Beckham Jr., and Greg Popovich.
The letter details several cases they find particularly egregious, and it cites a couple of my Reason stories in the process. "The 9th Circuit applied the doctrine to two officers who allegedly stole $225,000 while executing a search warrant," the authors write. "The Eleventh Circuit applied the doctrine to protect an officer who unintentionally shot a ten-year old while firing at the family dog (who, much like the child, posed no threat). The list of officers who suffered no consequences because of this doctrine could fill a law book."
