LINCOLN, Neb. (Nebraska Examiner) - A 34-year-old Nehawka, Nebraska, farmer has been sentenced in federal court to 30 days in jail and ordered to pay $500,206 in restitution for overstating his farm assets to obtain a bank loan.
The farmer, Nolan Balfour, admitted that he had inflated the amount of crops he had harvested and the number of cattle he was raising after he had filed for bankruptcy in 2018.
The bank fraud occurred in 2017, when Balfour submitted a financial statement to First Nebraska Bank to renew a $1.1 million operating loan.
The bank suffered an undisclosed financial loss, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Covid test wait times
My in-laws (80+ years old) waited for 7 1/2 hours for a covid test in Las Vegas yesterday only to have the testing site shut down with only 3 cars ahead of them.
This whole thing is just maddening! The lack of testing, the misinformation, full hospitals .... just a never ending list!
Just had to vent this morning.

East out of Yuma and looking around as I was getting on the interstate. I see business with a giant banner on their chain link fence that says "trump is my president not Biden"
WTAF is wrong with people in Arizona?? I mean I've been seeing this shit since after the election. Hell just 3 days ago I saw someone driving their Polaris flying a dump flag . And in quartzite there's still a trump store selling flags that bash Biden.
I guess I just had to vent. I hope everyone has a good weekend.

I know tempers are hot but this isn't right. The combine had trump flags on it.
