Trump's Every Tweet is an Admission of his Incompetence. Plus, the Case for Prosecuting Donald Trump

Glenn Kirschner

In recent days, Trump has been tweeting about how "the Justice Department and the FBI have done nothing . . . and should be ashamed", "the courts are bad", " the Supreme Court has been totally incompetent", and the like. Trump seems not to understand that his every criticism of the federal government is a direct admission that he has failed as a president, given that the federal agencies and the courts are a product of people he appointed. Trump excels at the Art of the Self-Own.

Also, If we decline to prosecute Donald Trump for his many crimes, he will endlessly prattle on about his that represents a complete exoneration and vindication, proof-positive that he did not thing wrong. Declining to prosecute Trump will serve as the equivalent of endorsing his 2024 presidential candidacy.

Don't forget the States' cases too.

OLBERMANN VS. TRUMP #43: After Trump's Pardon Orgy, we need a Special Counsel to prosecute them all.

I revere Joe Biden. I admire his call for healing. I applaud his desire to keep The White House out of the Justice Department.

But after this second night of Trump's orgy of pardons and commutations, can there be any doubt that on January 20th, Biden's choice for Attorney General must immediately name a Special Counsel with instructions to review anything and everyone connected to the Trump Criminal Presidency, and prosecute them all? That Special Counsel must also be prepared to challenge a Trump attempt to Self-Pardon throughout the courts.

As you watch this video, remember that none of the 126 Republican members of the House of Representatives have backed away from their seditious endorsement of the Texas lawsuit at the heart of Trump's coup attempt. These criminals - and the ones who have served Trump ranging from William Barr to Stephen Miller to Rudy Giuliani - and the ones who bear the Trump name who have grifted millions from the treasury - must be prosecuted.

Biden is right. We must heal. And to heal, first we must reestablish the rule of law and put them all in jail for the rest of their lives.

Merry Christmas DU, President Elect Biden, Vice President Elect Harris, and all the people respectful of the Rule Of Law.

After legal threat, Fox airs news package debunking election fraud claims made by its own hosts

Source: CNN

New York (CNN) If President Trump tunes into Fox News this weekend, he may see something unexpected: a point-by-point fact-check to wild election fraud claims made by some of his favorite hosts on the network.

After voting technology company Smartmatic sent Fox News a blistering legal threat that accused the network of participating in a "disinformation campaign" against it, the network has started airing a remarkable news package debunking claims its hosts and guests have propagated.

The package aired for the first time Friday night on Lou Dobbs' show. Fox News said the same package would air Saturday night on Jeanine Pirro's program as well as Sunday morning on Maria Bartiromo's show. All three hosts, who use their platforms to air pro-Trump propaganda, are close with the President.

The stunning news package featured an interview with voting technology expert Eddie Perez, who poured cold water on a series of conspiracy theories that have been amplified and promoted on the shows of Dobbs, Pirro, and Bartiromo.

Trump Lashes Out at Bill Barr for Disloyalty. Does Barr Already Have his "Pocket Pardon"?

Donald Trump has been lashing out at Bill Barr for, among other things, announcing there was no election fraud undermining Joe Biden's win and now for Barr "failing" to disclose publicly prior to the election that Hunter Biden's taxes were under investigation.

Barr's decision to break from Trump on these issues raises the question of whether Barr might already have a pardon from Trump (what I would refer to as a "pocket pardon&quot . Importantly, there is no requirement that a pardon be made public by either the president or the pardon recipient. That is, unless the person pardoned is charged criminally and needs to disclose the pardon to avoid prosecution. Moreover, the Supreme Court decided in 1866 in a case called Ex parte Garland that the court has the authority to decide legal issues regarding the scope of presidential pardons. Here's how things might play out on the pardon front.
