The January Emerson College Polling national survey finds President Joe Biden with a 42% job approval rating, and 46% disapproval. His approval has remained steady, increasing one point since December, while his disapproval rating decreased five points, from 51% to 46%.

“Biden’s approval among independent voters has seen a four-point improvement since December, rising from 33% to 37%,” according to Spencer Kimball, Executive Director of Emerson College Polling. “Although still underwater, this reflects a positive shift. Additionally, his disapproval among independents has decreased from 52% to 45%.”

With third-party candidates Robert Kennedy Jr., Cornel West, and Jill Stein added to the ballot, Trump’s lead over Biden increases to two points, 41% to 39%, while 5% support Kennedy Jr., and 1% Stein and West respectively. In a hypothetical matchup between Biden, Trump, and Haley, Trump’s lead expands to five points over Biden, 42% to 37%; 12% support Haley and 10% are undecided.

Cynthia Nixon steals the show... the sets and props and fashion are incredible. My wife tells me the dresses are to die for.

They've pushed the diversity and inclusivity up from Downton which will make some people happy (un?)...

Just started watching Season 2 last night... I hear that HBO signed a deal for Season 3.

QANON and the belief that JFK JR will reappear to run with Trump might lead to RFK Jr joining ticket.

JFK was killed in a plane crash in 1999

But a major tenet of QANON"ism" is the belief that JFK Jr will appear out of nowhere and join Trump, apparently faking his death to trick the "deep State"

Trump's revenge list for January 2025 grows...

We all know what will happen if he wins.

The DoJ will investigate Carroll, Kaplan, Chutkan, Smith and all the Judges, prosecutors and folks who've pissed him off.

Evidence be damned... indictment meet ham sandwich.

But this is WHY he probably won't win.

When it's November of 2024 and you're thinking about voting... even if you're a disaffected voter... unhappy with all politics or even disapproving of Biden and the Democrats...

TRUMP MUST BE STOPPED.

And I believe that Americans will step up to the threat just like the Juries have so far stepped up to the challenge and delivered Justice to Trump.

Documents obtained from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services by a House committee and reviewed by The Wall Street Journal show that a Chinese researcher in Beijing uploaded a nearly complete sequence of the virus’s structure to a U.S. government-run database on Dec. 28, 2019. Chinese officials at that time were still publicly describing the disease outbreak in Wuhan, China, as a viral pneumonia “of unknown cause” and had yet to close the Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market, site of one of the initial Covid-19 outbreaks.

China only shared the virus’s sequence with the World Health Organization on Jan. 11, 2020, according to U.S. government timelines of the pandemic.

I want to talk about lying and propaganda in Politics.

Where did this come from, you might ask?

I'm sorry but it's just a pet peeve of mine.

There may be a wide variety of reasons for lying.

One is avoiding pain.

"Jonny, did you do your homework"? Jonny lies because he doesn't want to be grounded.

Another common lie is when someone is trying to SELL you something. "This apartment has the best view of Central Park is NYC and is the hottest property on the market".

That's probably a lie but I guess it's debatable because people can have different opinions on subjective things.

To me... some LIES get personal.

You hear the stories about the mechanic, "Ma'am your disgrontifier is out and needs to be replaced"

It's a lie and it's attempted theft...

But it's also an insult to your knowledge. Someone has so little respect for your intellect, knowledge or reasoning ability that they will lie to gain some advantage from you.

THIS is personally my most hated LIE.

And this leads back to politics.

Politics employs ALL the lies. Politics can use the hyperbolic lie, the "salesman" lie... Politics can use the personal lie and of course the lie of propaganda which also insults your intelligence.

I'll give one example, but there are many and they come from all political spectrums.

With ZERO evidence... I mean NONE... Fox News and a handful of GOP talking heads convinced MILLIONS of Americans that Barack Obama didn't have a valid Birth Certificate and thus lacked legitimacy to run for or hold the Presidency.

Millions of people also believe the Clintons have critics killed in mysterious ways...

And yes, a ton of people think Kyle Rittenhouse's Mom drove him across State Lines with an AR-15 to kill protestors.



When one posts something online, always remember that someone isn't going to fact check you... they will believe what you write. By using hyperbole or a straight up lie to propagandize... you're not only disrespecting the person on the other end... you hurt people.
