Conspiracy to obstruct Congress during an official act. This is a serious felony with serious jail time.
Like the Bannon case, Trump has no defense in this case. Congress was obstructed. A crime was committed. These are proven facts.
Trump sent the crowd to the capital. He watched the crowd storm the capital. He knew the vote count was obstructed because many people in congress were calling, Whitehouse staff were telling him so. What happened next nails Trump cold. He did nothing to stop the attack. Trump has no defense at all for doing nothing.
This is a smoking gun case. This single charge is enough to end the Trump cancer. If convicted he could never run for office again and he would spend years in jail.
Holy shit, Trump and Pence are holding separate rallies today.
WTF! It's like Jan 6th never happened. They are all nuts.
I still have one important question. What was Trump waiting for?
We know Trump was watching FOX so called news during the entire attack. He was taking cues from what they reported.
We know he was focused on Pence. When he heard the crowd was chanting hang Pence, Trump tweeted and attacked Pence. He knew this would incite the attackers further.
Was Trump waiting to hear Pence had left the capital? If that did happen, then what was the plan. Were there secret service agents working with Trump, to remove Pence from the capital?
Was Trump waiting to hear Pence or others were injured or killed?
Trump called off the attack when he learned help was on the way. He backed down and then he called Rudy.
Was Trumps plan something more simplistic. His goal was to delay the count. As the attack happened he reacted to it like a true narcissist, he simply enjoyed it. He wanted more, it made him feel good. Was he just winging it as the attack was happening? Maybe his plan was to delay the count and he had no plan after that.
The political fallout from the hearings, investigations, abortion ruling, are going to take a toll.
The Republicans extremism has caught up to them. Their extremism became uncontrollable and they became more and more extreme. That is never sustainable.
In future elections they are going to have to defend why they supported a coup. Why they allowed, helped a lunatic try to over throw an election. That is not going to end well for them.
I think it's fair to say Rudy will be indicted.
Rudy was Trumps point man on just about everything. It was Rudy who called people around the country trying to get them to join the coup. He traveled the country spreading the lie to Republican legislators. He was in charge of the fake electors scheme. That was verified by another Trump lawyer on MSNBC.
After the attack on the capital who did Trump call, Rudy. Rudy once again made some phone calls trying still to get people to over turn the election. Un-believable.

People in the Whitehouse had to see Trump do that all the time. Can you imagine working for that emotionally damaged piece of shit?
People need to stop saying Garland has had 18 months to investigate. It's not true.
Garland did not take office until March 2021. At that time the DOJ had to investigate thousands of people who stormed the capital. Nothing like that has ever been done before. That was a massive operation. When Garland took office he had to get up to speed on all the DOJ investigations across the country. He had to get his people in place. That takes time.
It is ridiculous to assume Garland could start a major investigation into Trump and the coup plotters the moment he took office.
In reality, Garland has not been moving slowly. He has not been investigating for 18 months because he has not been in office for 18 months. One could argue the DOJ moved quickly investigating, arresting, nearly 900 people who stormed the capital. That was amazing work in a fairly short period of time.
Garland has been doing his job. He knows he has to get it right. Also, his investigation cannot be compared to the Georgia investigation. The size, scale, of Garlands investigation towers over the Georgia investigation.
Boom! Yesterday Garland did what I was waiting for.
He spoke out plainly and explained the investigation clearly. He said the DOJ does not do its investigations in public view. He said again no one is above the law.
He said what I have posted numerous times. This is the largest, most sensitive criminal investigation the DOJ has Ever entered into. It has to be done right. We have to get this right.
Trump and his inner circle are fucked.
MSNBC: Rudy was a no show for a hearing. That's why the judge ordered him to testify in Georgia.
Let me put this plainly. Rudy is fucked. Rudy has lost all control.
