Him being an ex-president is irrelevant. It is time to end the terror of Trump.
Not holding Trump accountable now would be a great Dereliction of Duty. Our national security is at great risk. It's not just the documents, it's what he knows. He can never be trusted. He belongs in prison for life where he can be monitored 24 hrs a day.
Trumps motivation for stealing the documents. Follow his uncontrollable traits.
Trump never does anything, ever, unless he sees some type of profit, benefit, for himself. It is an obsession. It could be for money. It could be for revenge. It could be for blackmail.
Why did Trump not protect himself when he learned he was being investigated? He acted differently this time. He basically told everyone to piss off, I'm doing this. Trump will usually back down when he knows he can't win. It could be because he is a narcissist and the power of the presidency went to his head. He may be at a point now where he thinks he is almighty. Just a guess but it makes sense.
Narcissists do not get better , they get worse. Their disease takes over and consumes them.
Desantis attempting to act tough is like Mr. Bean attempting to act tough.
It doesn't work. 
It definitely will not work on the national level.

I recently compared Trump to the BTK killer. They had different goals but they have the same narcissist patterns.
Like Trump, BTK was a textbook narcissist who got away with everything for decades. He was devious and cunning. He was very smart in some ways and dumb as hell in other ways. He thought he was smarter than everyone. Over time he became more and more emboldened. In the end he entrapped himself with his own narcissism.
Everyday more information is coming out about the secret document investigation. It looks like Trump was involved in the entire process of stealing, concealing, the documents. It is being reported the DOJ, FBI, the archives contacted Trump and his lawyers multiple times warning them. It looks like Trump knew there was an investigation taking place.
It is reasonable to assume some of Trump lawyers warned him if he did not give back the document he could face serious charges.
Trump spit in everybody's face. He refused, because I believe his narcissism caught up to him. He believed he had a right to the documents and he was not going to give them back period. He believed the DOJ could not do a dam thing about. Like a true textbook narcissist he believed he could do anything he wanted and not pay a price.
I was upset the DOJ did not move more quickly to get a warrant and secure the documents. However, the bottom line is the DOJ found the documents Trump was hiding. They have him by the balls. He has no defense. It looks like Trumps narcissism has grown and is now clouding his judgement to the point of self destruction.
It would make a lot of sense if Trump is finally brought down by his own narcissism.

You would think Trump, others, would turn off, cover up, the cameras when they were going into the room of top secret documents. DUH!
You would think Trump would have been more concerned when he found out the DOJ wanted those documents.
You would think the DOJ would have been more aggressive in trying to secure the documents. Asking to put on another padlock seems silly.
There are so many things in this entire incident that don't make sense. Hopefully in the coming months more facts will come out and clear things up.

He said the DOJ/FBI failed to secure those top secret documents in a timely manner. He also said they were slow in getting the warrant.
That's why I have so angry in my recent posts. Even after they learned Trump was lying to them it took weeks before they got a warrant. I instantly recognized this was not handled well. You don't take your time when some of the most top secret documents in our country are at risk. You act immediately.
They learned there were secret documents in January and you spend months negotiating with someone you know you can't trust. Please give us back the secret documents that are sitting there insecure. How many times did they ask Trump for those documents? It was more than once.
When Moscow Mitch tells the truth, you know the Republicans are in trouble.
He is telling all of us their is very little election fraud. He is telling all of us the quality of candidates matters. Moscow Mitch is an asshole, but he knows his shit. He knows the Republicans are in trouble.
I can't wait to watch the Desantis presidential bid go down in flames.

It has been reported some of the documents are from The CIA, NSA, and FBI.
That's a problem. I guess Trump wasn't flushing everything down the toilet. I"m just guessing, Trump may have been hoarding documents. Whenever he seen something that he thought he could use he put it in a box in his room. I think I will keep this and take it home with me.
The amount of lawyers who have committed crimes for Trump is staggering.
This is one of the main reasons Trump gets away with things. This is being under reported by the news media. Trump is a fuck up and it is lawyers who give him his ideas, they cover for him and they defend him. They go to prison for him. They destroy their careers for him.
Trump without lawyers, would be flipping burgers at McDonald's or working in a prison mess hall.
