Sorry, I have no interest in "unity" with them

I see right wing snowflakes on Twitter calling Dark Brandon's speech divisive and not very uniting.

Good.

Why would I want to be united the other side of the spectrum? Let's count the things they have said and done.

- Their side will support TFG even if he literally did shoot somebody on Fifth Avenue. It's already been unprecedented corruption from anything I've seen in my lifetime, and many have seen in theirs. It doesn't matter how corrupt; it doesn't matter about wanting to overturn democracy or if people die or put in danger. We love him, so they support him, and all they cared about for four years was "owning" us, even if it came at the expense of the country. During those infamous four years, I saw some supporters say in comments sections online they wanted laws passed making it illegal to be a liberal. Why would I want to be "united" with someone like that?

- Their side took away the right to choose, legalizing a form of torture because women can't always terminate their ectopic pregnancies. Or if they were allowed to do, they might die, as one woman in Missouri did just as lawyers were being consulted and she was given the go-ahead. The woman in Louisiana was forced to birth a headless fetus or travel to Florida. Why would I want to "unite" with somebody who subjects women to cruelty?

- They're openly embracing theocracy and feel more and more emboldened after Dobbs. Look at Boebert's comments when she said the church should be directing the state, or that she's sick of the separation of church and state, which the Extreme Court has gutted in its activism, such as the Kennedy case, or allowing tax dollars to private/religious institutions. Why would I want to be "united" with theocrats?

- Their homophobia has come out of the woodwork once again, such as Florida's Don't Say Gay Bill and other rhetoric/proposed legislation. They want to out LGBTQ+ students to their parents, or teachers will see penalties. They want to reverse Obergefell, they want to reverse Lawrence. A Newsmax reporter had a meltdown being triggered over the Pride flying somewhere in California months ago, suggesting that LGBTQ+ Americans aren't hardworking, you have people from Moms For Liberty wanting to put LGBTQ+ students in special classes, likening them to autistic students. McAlester, Oklahoma, a place I spent two years of my life, is segregating lunches based on gender and Republican AGs want to stop school lunches to LGBTQ+ students. Why would I want to be "united" with somebody who claims we are dehumanizing them when they're interested in dehumanizing all sorts of groups of people who don't look or think like them?

- Democracy. Every time we win an election in the last two years, they've cried fraud, starting with the Big Lie that saw an attack on our Capitol that neither I nor many others envisioned we'd see in our lifetimes, all because they were sore losers. They cried fraud because California voted against recalling Gov. Newsom. They cried fraud even when they lost in Republican primaries. They cried fraud on Tuesday when Sarah Palin lost (surprise, surprise). They've wanted audit after audit, from Arizona in 2020 to Kansas voting no. We may not have pure democracy (e.g. directly electing the president, which we should have), but that's not good enough for them because some people on Twitter (even those with blue check marks) want to repeal the 19th Amendment and limit voting to property owning men. Why would I want to "unite" with people who want to take away the lifeblood of a first world country?

I could go on and on and on and on about different examples of conservatives showing what awful people they are that they want to subjugate and hold down different individuals and groups of people, like the racism - Mike Braun saying Loving v. Virginia was a mistake, or the insurrectionists showing on January 6 that Blue Lives Matter is nothing more than a racist dog whistle.

I'm not going to "unite" with people who propose policies to hurt others and take away things that we've taken for granted all of these years.

They want exclusivity, we want inclusivity - but we're not going to include those who want to exclude.

She's as big of a clown as she was back then

I’m really, really getting sick of this - not us winning elections, of course, but their whining all the stinking time whenever our side wins

I was in high school when McCain picked her, and what a disaster that was - to the point she got more attention than McCain. She helped get President Obama elected, and helped further raise President Biden’s profile, playing a role in inadvertently electing our last two Democratic (and real) presidents.

She helped the monster that is the Republican Party morph into what it is today with her and Rush serving as mouthpieces in 2009, morphing into the Tea Party, morphing into the MAGA Cult. She hasn’t won an election in nearly two decades, but she’s played her role in this country going downhill.

You’re a joke, Sarah, just as you were back then. Please go slip under your rock again, and only come back out if you want to help elect more Democrats.

Who says we can't win midterms?

Let’s see, Kansas voters overwhelmingly voted no, President Biden is seeing an approval bump, Pat Ryan won, Mary Peltola won. Our side is either leading races where we can flip seats or we’re right there.

Granted, I wish it didn’t have to come to overruling Roe for this to happen, but it’s looking good for us.

Maybe somebody should tell the GOP that America is just not that into them.
