Big-city public (and most private) schools are damaging young Americans to an extent and in ways no one imagined just a few years ago. Young children are prematurely sexualized — they are, for example, exposed to “Drag Queen Story Hour” in class and in local libraries from the age of 5. These feature a man dressed as a woman reading and dancing for them.

And who is facilitating all of this? In virtually every case, a woman. Ninety-two percent of kindergarten teachers are women, 75% of all teachers are women and 85% of librarians are women."

And they are teaching young people to despise their country (the creator of the poisonous “1619 Project” is a woman), to feel guilty about their “white privilege” or to think of themselves as victims if they are black. Even worse, they are indoctrinating them in “nonbinary” thinking regarding sex and gender.

Don't give me that about indoctrination when your side wants to teach the Bible in public schools, end the ban on school prayer, Moms For Liberty wants to place LGBTQ+ students in special classes like autistic or special ed children, wants to deny school lunches to LGBTQ+ students, etc.

Also, how are they teaching kids to despise their country? They're making them aware of the things that are wrong in this country.

What's wrong with white kids being aware of white people doing wrong (I learned about slavery and segregation when I was in school) or blacks that they have been wronged? What's wrong with kids learning others are different from them and they should all be respected? Even if homosexuality was a choice, so what?

There are things to love about this country. Homophobia, racism, segregation, slavery are not among them.

More than six million deaths have occurred worldwide and more than a million in this country. Tell me, genius, how many more do you think would've died with teachers and kids openly walking around in an enclosed indoor space before the vaccines were rolled out?

Cancel culture =/= Accountability

Floridastan cancels anybody who doesn't tow the party line and kisses the crown jewels of Ron DeFascist, your side wants to cancel LGBTQ+ people and endanger them, your side embraces Clarence Thomas, who was the lone dissenter in 8-1 cases that ruled in favor of a cheerleader kicked off her team for things she said off campus and 8-1 not to take up a case asking to overturn New York Times vs. Sullivan. If somebody from your party agrees with TFG 99 times out of 100, you want to cancel and brandish them as a RINO for the one time they didn't.

Now, I know intellectualism and knowledge isn't your strong suit, would you like to look up the Sedition Act of 1918, or the Alien and Sedition Acts of the 18th Century? In my opinion, those were far greater threats to free speech than cancel culture is.

Lastly, it's not really much of a shock, unless you were in a coma during the 1960s and 1970s and never bothered to learn the history of it. Women have always pushed for more, from women's suffrage in the 19th and into the 20th Century, to the flappers of the Roaring Twenties, to the feminist movement and authors like Betty Friedan, Gloria Steinem and driving wins like Roe v. Wade - all stuff that happened before I was born, much of it that happened while you were alive. Don't be intellectually dishonest, because I assume you know all of this.

Women are energized and angry as it is after Dobbs. Does this great thinker think something like this wouldn't fire up women even more?

This is a perfect response to fight back against this parent, whom I’m 99.99% sure has not read every single one of these books or the pages specifying why she wants them banned.

It’s time for these people to push back and that is who we need on our boards.

I'll never understand the selfish culture in this country

Granted, I think we all have to be selfish to a certain extent to survive and thrive in life, but I'm not talking about being selfish when you have to, I'm talking about being selfish because you want to.

I'm very lucky I didn't have to take out student loans and that I don't have any student debt. Why should I be mad, however, that other people's debts are being forgiven in part with my tax dollars?

My tax dollars have subsidized corporate welfare, bailouts, TFG rallies, members of Congress flying home to their families on weekends. They can evidently be used to fund private and religious schools, and when the United States is inevitably at war again sometime in the future, they will go fund that. They also fund the bloated Military Industrial Complex, and if I was president, I would seek to give the Pentagon everything it needs, but not necessarily everything it wants.

Our tax dollars go to Israel despite various crimes against humanity committed by Menachem Begin, Yitzhak Shamir and of course, Netanyahu.

But people draw the line in this country when their tax dollars fund food stamps? Welfare? Help paying down student debt?

It's difficult to get opportunities without a college diploma, and think of how many employers won't hire without one.

It's funny how they were so fervently against Obamacare and used that energy to vote in droves in 2010, but eight years later, the tone of the country on the ACA had changed. It seems to me they were wrong about that, just like they're wrong about this.

And this was what we saw in 2020 at the height of the pandemic, how many cried about wearing masks to protect themselves and to protect others, all while they celebrated Dobbs and would rather see other people die than for their tax dollars to help them out. Their cry of freedom was a joke back then and it's even less credible now because they wish to disparage the freedom of those who are different than them.

Make it make sense.

So, where do I begin here?

Would he would like to explain how disenfranchising different people - women, people of certain ages, etc., will make our country and our people more free, not less free? How is less more in his warped mind?

Also, please enlighten me in any ways how we owe the Founding Fathers or are in any way obligated to live exactly how they lived in the 18th Century here in the 21st Century. We can thank them for setting this country up, but times change.

Let’s even look at what one of the Founding Fathers said.

‘I am not an advocate for frequent changes in laws and Constitutions. But laws and institutions must go hand in hand with the progress of the human mind. As that becomes more developed, more enlightened, as new discoveries are made, new truths discovered and manners and opinions change, with the change of circumstances, institutions must advance also to keep pace with the times,’ - Thomas Jefferson.

Do we also want to take a look at the Constitution and it’s preamble?

‘We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.’

In order to form a *more perfect* union, and the founders gave us the right to update and change the Constitution as we see fit.

‘The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude,’ - Fifteenth Amendment

‘The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex,’ - Nineteenth Amendment

‘The right of citizens of the United States, who are eighteen years of age or older, to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of age,’ - Twenty-Sixth Amendment.

So, it takes two-thirds of Congress to ratify an amendment. You’d never get 67 votes to repeal these amendments, with I’m sure even Republicans joining in to vote no. In fact, I’m not even sure the extreme SCOTUS would strike these down due to being enumerated. Heck, SCOTUS voted 8-1 not to grant cert to a case asking to overturn New York Times vs. Sullivan.

The only way this could ever happen would be the Convention of States, which is still a ways to go.

This is a sore loser who doesn’t like everybody voting. Well, he’s free to move to Saudi Arabia or Iran.

Also, would this genius like to tell me if there’s pushback to Dobbs what kind of blowback women and people and color would have if there were serious efforts to outright disenfranchise them like out here?

As a straight, white male, I want voting rights for all to remain how they are.

I’m guessing many loving husbands would also stick with their wives and children. I’m sure some are rotten to betray their loved ones, but not a majority.

Jesse Kelly, by the way was born in 1981, falling in between his 35-65 range. So, under his rules, he’d still get to vote. How convenient, and what are the odds of something so coincidental like that?

Oklahoma continues to disappoint, and this one hurts

This one is personal, because I spent multiple years of my life in that town. I was the sports editor of their paper. I set foot in that middle school and used to run into and interviewed the superintendent for stories multiple times.

This is absolutely horrific and a violation of federal law, since only religious institutions and detention centers are exempt.

The excuse they're using is that this is from COVID protocols. Oh, please. So many of these people in this country pretend like COVID no longer exists and we aren't still in a pandemic (which we are). I often see myself as one of the very few who still wears a mask indoors in public.

Public school segregation lunch by gender is simply wrong, and this reeks of the Republican-controlled government down there. LGBTQ+ students shouldn't have to sign any forms, parents shouldn't have to be notified of a student being gay or not. What happened to just living your own life?

I mean, I was down there before and spent part of my life there. So, that area is always going to have a spot in my heart, but it's discomforting to see a state I once spent time in get even worse. They were always backward, but I don't remember them being *this* backward and bigoted when I was there.

I messaged someone from the paper on Twitter, someone I used to work with. He said they were working on a piece on it.

He refused to do an interview and pointed The Oklahoman to the two videos.

“I’ve stood up for what is right in the past, and I intend to in the future and I am right now,” he stated. “That’s got me in trouble. The media are not my friends, as far as I’m concerned.”

The reason I have so many snips is I want to respond to things from this article.

1. Yeah, you’re a ‘Christian’ alright, where we have freedom of religion and rightly so. Your freedom also ends where other people’s freedoms begin.

2. So, according to the Old Testament, not the new one, people should die because of what you believe? When will you stone people who eat shellfish and wear mixed fabrics? Oh, you won’t? You just don’t like gay people and use something of convenience to justify your hate? Well, then.

3. ‘Judge not, that ye be not judged. [2] For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.’

‘So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.’

Uh, buddy, I don’t think your holy book quite gives you the moral high ground to determine what is and isn’t sin.

4. It’s not the media’s job to be ‘your friend.’ Their job is to report what you say, and if necessary, hold you accountable. It’s obvious your position hasn’t changed, you just don’t want to lose votes over it. Furthermore, what kind of representation could you give people if you’re not accountable? If you’re not going to answer the media, how can you be trusted to answer your constituents? In that case, you’re not fit for office.

Maybe you wouldn’t be in trouble if you simply tried to govern yourself, and not others, according to your faith.

The Brewers are down bad

Boy, it seems like these teams that made deadline moves (Seattle being an exception) aren’t doing too hot.

Since dealing Hader, neither the Friars nor the Crew are showing much, and the Yankees lost again to Toronto.

While I’m happy my Cubbies won today, the Brewers have lost 11 of 17 and really on a slide, and it wasn’t just that Milwaukee lost, but how.

The Brewers had the ninth, 10th and 11th innings to get three outs. They were a strike away, and Yelich couldn’t field a transition.

I mean, Cub relievers had a really tough time locating pitches, and somehow, this team still celebrated a walk off.

We’re definitely seeing some collapses, folks. The dog days of summer seem to really take their toll.
