Unfortunately I have been flagged for review, and am not able to appeal succesfully to be reinstated so I can no longer contribute to discussions here, despite numerous attempts to get reinstated. I have been a part of DU since January 27, 2004, with 98,883 posts, and have continuously contributed to the forum, both monetarily and through exchange of ideas. I believe I was unfairly cancelled since 4 of my posts in the same thread were hidden before I even realized I had been alerted. Normally, if a post was hidden in a thread, the user should not be able to post further in that thread, and that I was still allowed to post in that thread makes those additional hides very unfair. My final post was hidden from a different thread because of the following post: "What is interesting about OPs like this is it exposes those who don't think Israel should be a homeland for the Jews, because that is what Zionism is, and what the British partition setup followed by the UN., and those against Zionism are against are Israel as a Jewish state, which is in effect calling for the destruction of Israel, yet somehow that isn’t antisemitic?" it was ruled as No personal attacks or flaming. The person I was responding to actuallly recommended my post, so that so-called "personal attack" sure wasn't against that person. After more than 20 years as a loyal registered Democrat, and with continuous contributions to the Democratic Underground, I have been thrown to the gutter, without even given a chance to make amends. Now it seems that the only thing DU has become is a forum to blame everything on what they consider as "establishment Democrats", and anyone who counters that, risks being alerted on , and removed from further participation. Quite sad, since at one time the Democratic Underground was my go to place to engage in discussions, whether I was in agreement or not, and as a learning forum on various issues. Now it seems to have become, "you either agree with us on everything, or get lost" and I am not referring to TOS rules, but to personal bias by some who make up the jury pool, who rule not based on the TOS, but on their own personal bias. very sad what DU has become, and obviously very disappointed that I have been banned from DU.
