Mother Muckraker was a worker produced newsletter at Toyota\'s NUMMI plant. NUMMI was shut down in 2010 after Toyota ran a massive union busting operation. The big lie that made it possible was blaming the shutdown on the pullout of GM. GM\'s pullout was irrelevant. NUMMI made Corollas and Tacomas and the Pontiac Vibe is a rebadged Matrix which GM profitted little and was not made in large numbers. Toyota had $39 billion in cash at the time they announced the shutdown. NUMMI had the fewest defects of all Toyota and Lexus plants worldwide. The union busting continues at Tesla with the hiring of the head of HR experienced in \"union avoidance\" and the hiring of NUMMI managers used to quell union activity from the rank and file.
