THIS is why we need disputed primaries, not rubber-stamp protect-the-incumbents-at-all-costs. One of my Senators is on that list: Bennet, appointed to a vacated seat (incumbent went to Obama's cabinet), banking background (surprise!), hasn't had a challenge since. Our democracy at work
