(29,436 posts)at that point, Keith had not announced he was running for AG. I do have to wonder why it took until 4 days before the primary for this to go public. He has had some issues (nothing as serious as this) that have always come up at election time but given his district have never hurt him much - they are things that could really be hammered on in a statewide race and do a lot of damage.
But, to be clear, I never was supporting him for AG, but I was leaning toward Hilstrom who seems involved with this sudden airing of dirt. Just glad it's coming out now and not before the general election - unless Ellison wins on Tuesday then we have trouble. The DFL has controlled the AG's office for almost 50 years, I would really hate to see a Republican take over as I doubt they wouldn't make consumer protection the priority it has been.
