(46,705 posts)It doesn't matter who allowed this genie out of the bottle. It's out and their side embraces this difference like they've finally come out and they're never again going back into the closet.
Personally, I could no longer socialize with "friends" who hold onto this subculture, because it is a subculture. They do think they are entitled in their way of thinking. The only way to beat them is one issue at a time. Take the pro-choice issue. We need to make this point very clear: They risk nothing of themselves in being anti-choice. They need to put up or shut up. If they really care about ending unwanted pregnancies, pony up with tax dollars to pay to support young mothers and their babies. Because, life choices will have consequences--for many it will be negative as plans for college will be postponed or cancelled. So it will mean a life time of poverty.
And that's the key. Let these Republicans fully understand the consequences.
