Showing Original Post only (View all)Why Barr did what he did: [View all]
1) He was instructed to do it;
2) He was confident that he would have "cover" for his lies;
3) He knows that there are no standards of behavior anymore and that the American people are so beaten down that there will be no consequences.
He betrayed a close friend and violated the oath he took when he became a lawyer and a public servant. He spit on the legacies of Elliot Richardson and Archibald Cox.
He didn't do all of this in the heat of the moment. He planned for it. He telegraphed it in his 19 page "job application."
He did all of this for Donald Trump and it will haunt him for the rest of his life and be the headline on his obituary notice.
Sad, very, very, very sad.

These people that think latching on to Donnie's coattails will get them somewhere...

I'm afraid you're right. So long as folks have "Survivor" and the Kardashians, who cares?

#1 reason - he's involved with Russia too and has been promised much for his fealty.

Barr applied to do it, was interviewed to do it, nominated and confirmed to do it.

He is impervious to criticism and loves the headlines. We know that from his past behavior.

He must be... He can't be so in denial that he doesn't recognize how others see him.

I want him impeached. I want the DC bar and any others he belongs to to pull his law license.

Lying and obstructing congress in your official legal capacity should do the trick.
