In reply to the discussion: Trump shows off his "plan". I just knew this wasn't going to go well [View all]Caliman73
(11,767 posts)I didn't even think to go to the economic effects. I was focusing mainly on the human costs (though losing your job and savings is also a human cost).
Bottom line is that if he wants to claim that he has a plan (or had one since August of last year), then he is admitting that he is responsible for the outcomes since then, for this country.
The media/press really need to start hammering him about this. Either he is responsible or he is not. If he had/has a plan, then what the hell happened? Did he lose 85,000 lives in 2 months by incompetence or through malice? Those are the choices. Did the plan fail? OR Did he fail the plan? Those are his choices for an answer.
85,000 in 2 months AND still counting, is not acceptable.
Again, if President Obama losing 12,100 people to H1N1 over the span of an ENTIRE YEAR, was a disaster to Trump, then what is losing more than 7 times that much in 1/6th the time period? How can he, with a straight face, compare those two sets of facts and view himself favorably?
