34. This what I taught my son:

First, I taught him the meaning of the word "ramification".

Then, I told him he would encounter uncertain times. When that happens, I asked him to momentarily stop to THINK what the ramifications would be if he did choose to do something - whether alone or with friends.

After thinking, and knowing what the ramifications might be, I told him to then ask himself "is it worth it?" A good example is drinking and driving.

Son is now 31, and he told me recently that still today, he follows this lesson. He said it has kept him out of some jams. That made me happy to hear.

It doesn't matter whose idea it was to do the effigy hanging, that couple was there enjoying the protest, and the husband CHOSE to be an active participant. Shame on them. It's too bad he lost his job, but there was a ramification to the choice he made.

I wouldn't want someone like this working for me, either - even if it were a liberal hanging Donald in effigy. To me it's vile and violent, and is something you'd see barbaric men in other countries do. We are suppose to be civilized.

I enjoyed reading your post.
