Certainly recommending the whole thread - but THIS POST

just says it ALL!!! I used to be in the news biz. I've watched the decline over the last couple of decades. It's been a DISGRACE!!! Nobody in it now wants to claim any responsibility for what they're disseminating. Most of the time, most of them are falling back on the same cop-out: "it's not my job to dig for the facts, or say somebody's being honest or not! I'm doing my job when I merely present what the (fill in the blank here) is/are saying. That's all I'm required to do, and THAT's my sole responsibility as a 'good,' 'unbiased' journalist."

Makes me sick to my stomach!!! Anybody not understand how America has become so freakin' dumbed down???? Covering the news is NOT about shedding light anymore.
