(20,000 posts)numbers with interest, however a few points...
1 Over 27m more people voted this time than in 2016, how many Republicans had sat out then
2 and while 10m more voted for Republican, Democrats increased their vote by 15m. Biden will win the popular vote by 8 to 10 million.
3 What will be really interesting is WHERE Republicans increased their vote ie getting an extra 100,000 votes in Mississippi versus a more useful 100,000 in say, Virginia.
4 How many down ballot votes did Republicans get versus Trump ? Were there Republicans who came out to vote against Trump, but voted GOP downballot, and if so how many ? My suspicion is that an amount of Republican voters were energised to go vote against Trump but as they were there, voted Red below that.
You may not be aware but TLP weren't national, that picked key states, and in some states they worked only in particular counties, so I'll be interested to see the numbers in those cases too. That said, Dems like David Plouffe seemed to be very happy with their work in those areas so we'll see when the numbers come in.
