and then get hit by a bus again. So many have it in surges, where they feel awful, but then better. They think they are on the mend, and then they start feeling weak and awful again. It is very important to rest, and not go back to a regular schedule too soo.

My heart weeps at all the Americans who will be permanently disabled because they are being forced to go back to demanding jobs too soon. 30% of college athletes who've had covid - mild cases, most didn't get very sick - have damage to their hearts caused by it. The US is f%cked not only because repukes are letting it spread wildly, but also because the work culture they have carefully crafted will leave so many more permanently disabled than in countries with less barbaric labor laws.
