because mitch has said he "could" support conviction, that was a clear message for trump to be on his best behavior until he is out of office.

That doesn't include pardoning those that attacked the capitol. If he thumbs his nose at mitch and creates anger through pardons or other actions, mitch could very well off him after he is out of office.

But trump doesn't usually act in his own best interests, and those still left advising are the worst rwnj's.

We'll see what he does. this has gone way too random to call because his mind is gone and those around him are corrupt.
