our allies are losing confidence in our reliability as a nation that be counted on to defend our mutual interests. While the majority of American voters can usually be counted on to vote for the most capable and ethical candidate for president, they are too often trumped by the EC results.

Checks and balances. Each State gets 2 Senators and then House is calculated by population.
