53. "I'm going to be one of the survivors."

That reminds me of a local candidate that ran for County Commission on a platform that said she would be a survivor "just like my namesake Virginia Dare."

Virginia Dare was the first white child born in the Roanoke Colony. You know, the colony that disappeared with little trace. It is not known what became of Virginia Dare but chances are that she did NOT survive.
