12. Sometimes I miss cable news

we watched it 24/7 from way back in Ted Turner days. I'm reminded of Bush vs. Gore, and being glued to the television at work, and before that it was Ollie North, and the Iran/Contra hearings. I can tolerate some of the evening shows on MSNBC, but am better off just saying no unless there's some breaking news going on. Joe Scarborough is impossible. Just give him a mirror and he'll talk for hours and not say a damn thing, very forcefully. Have to nudge him to remind him there are other people in the world. A lot of that going around. I get tempted, but the stove really is hot.
